South Holland District Council Election Results 1973-2011 South Holland District Council Election Results 1973-2011 Colin Rallings and Michael Thrasher The Elections Centre Plymouth University The information contained in this report has been obtained from a number of sources. Election results from the immediate post-reorganisation period were painstakingly collected by Alan Willis largely, although not exclusively, from local newspaper reports. From the mid- 1980s onwards the results have been obtained from each local authority by the Elections Centre. The data are stored in a database designed by Lawrence Ware and maintained by Brian Cheal and others at Plymouth University. Despite our best efforts some information remains elusive whilst we accept that some errors are likely to remain. Notice of any mistakes should be sent to [email protected]. The results sequence can be kept up to date by purchasing copies of the annual Local Elections Handbook, details of which can be obtained by contacting the email address above. Front cover: the graph shows the distribution of percentage vote shares over the period covered by the results. The lines reflect the colours traditionally used by the three main parties. The grey line is the share obtained by Independent candidates while the purple line groups together the vote shares for all other parties. Rear cover: the top graph shows the percentage share of council seats for the main parties as well as those won by Independents and other parties. The lines take account of any by- election changes (but not those resulting from elected councillors switching party allegiance) as well as the transfers of seats during the main round of local election. The lower graph shows for each main round of local elections the overall percentage turnout (solid line), the percentage of women candidates standing at (dotted line) and the percentage of women among those elected (hashed line). • The Mid-Elloe Group of Parishes
St Mary Magdalene St Mary Magdalene Fleet Gedney St Luke’s St Mark’s Holbeach Hurn Holbeach St Marks The Mid-Elloe Group of Parishes Profile 2020 The Mid-Elloe Group of Parishes 0.5 Incumbent of the Mid Elloe Group Who we are and what we are looking for We are four rural parishes with two fabulous medieval and two charming Victorian church buildings, all of which are well maintained. We serve the rural communities either side of the A17 just to the North and East of Holbeach in a very pleasant and peaceful area of the fens with many opportunities for cultural and environmental enrichment. Under our last incumbent we began to reap the benefits of working more closely together as a group and we have a deep desire to see our parishes flourish and seek a leadership that will help us develop a sense of direction for the future. There is immense scope for outreach into the community, particularly through developing our contact with families via the children in the four schools in the benefice, but also through the Care Homes and Community Centres and the significant areas of new housing currently being built in some of our parishes. We are seeking a priest with a pastoral heart and a real passion for Rural Ministry who is: • Secure in their faith • An engaging and inspiring preacher who can relate to the congregation in a down to earth manner • Comfortable with different styles of worship • At ease working with children and their families and making themselves known in the wider community • Experienced enough to contribute towards the training

  • Lincolnshire Remembrance User Guide for Submitting Information
How to… submit a war memorial record to 'Lincs to the Past' Lincolnshire Remembrance A guide to filling in the 'submit a memorial' form on Lincs to the Past Submit a memorial Please note, a * next to a box denotes that it needs to be completed in order for the form to be submitted. If you have any difficulties with the form, or have any questions about what to include that aren't answered in this guide please do contact the Lincolnshire Remembrance team on 01522 554959 or [email protected] Add a memorial to the map You can add a memorial to the map by clicking on it. Firstly you need to find its location by using the grab tool to move around the map, and the zoom in and out buttons. If you find that you have added it to the wrong area of the map you can move it by clicking again in the correct location. Memorial name * This information is needed to help us identify the memorial which is being recorded. Including a few words identifying what the memorial is, what it commemorates and a placename would be helpful. For example, 'Roll of Honour for the Men of Grasby WWI, All Saints church, Grasby'. Address * If a full address, including post code, is available, please enter it here. It should have a minimum of a street name: it needs to be enough information to help us identify approximately where a memorial is located, but you don’t need to include the full address. For example, you don’t need to tell us the County (as we know it will be Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire or North East Lincolnshire), and you don’t need to tell us the village, town or parish because they can be included in the boxes below.
