The film is the third screen adaptation of Christie's novel, following the film and a episode of the television series Agatha Christie's Poirot. Principal photography began in Septemberwith filming taking place at Longcross Studios in England and on location in Egypt, and wrapped that December. Death on the Nile is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on December 18,by 20th Century Studios. The peace and tranquility that was temporarily existent on the S. S Karnak Cruise Ship is destroyed after one of the passengers is found murdered. Renowned Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is entrusted Death on the Nile: Complete & Unabridged the important task of Death on the Nile: Complete & Unabridged which one of the passengers is the killer before they strike again. In SeptemberGal Gadot joined the cast. Principal photography began on September 30,at Longcross Studios in SurreyEngland, [16] [17] and then moved to Egypt for location shooting. In JanuaryPatrick Doylea frequent collaborator on Branagh's films, was announced as the composer for Death on the Nile. Death on the Nile is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on December 18, by 20th Century Studios. It was then pushed back two weeks to October 23 and again to its December date in response to the COVID pandemic forcing parent company Disney to incur changes to its release schedule. In an interview with Associated Press in DecemberBranagh discussed developing the adaptation of Death on the Nile with the possibility of more films to follow, potentially creating a new " cinematic universe " of Poirot films: [30].
