As we collate each day’s Brexit news in one place, there’s no doubt that the Remain campaign’s predictions of economic Armageddon in the event of a Leave vote have been shown to be as laughable as most voters realised they were at the time - not that this has stopped some of those still unreconciled to the referendum result pursuing further attempts to alarm the electorate with a new raft of Project Fear scare stories. In this third edition of Project Cheer we present some pertinent facts that highlight the overall strength of the British economy and share a variety of data, information and quotes that serve as a reminder of the exciting prospects that lie ahead for an independent UK.

"All of us had to make a judgment on what we thought the future would look like. I made a judgment thinking it would be bad for the economy. Since we have left, IT HAS BEEN MORE POSITIVE , so the facts have changed and I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND ." LIZ TRUSS MP Chief Secretary to the Treasury

The Guardian, 11 October 2O17 Q: You were a leading campaigner for Remain. Have you reconciled yourself now to the fact that it is going ahead and you’ve become a late convert to the idea of us leaving the EU?

A: "I have actually… Frankly THE WAY THE EU COMMISSION HAS BEHAVED since the referendum has been for me very disappointing... It's that ARROGANCE THAT WE'VE SEEN . Every time we make really generous and open- hearted offers, we get this response that ‘IT'S NOT ENOUGH, WE NEED MORE’ ."

Conservative, Foreign Secretary

LBC Radio, 3 October 2017 "I campaigned to Remain in the EU, but I RECOGNISE A DEMOCRATIC DECISION and that the British people VOTED BY A GOOD MARGIN TO LEAVE THE EUROPEAN UNION ... I believe the campaign was properly fought – it was a long one, well- debated and democratic participation was high. I HAVE LITTLE DOUBT THAT A SIMILAR RESULT WOULD BE REPEATED TODAY ."

BrexitCentral, 22 July 2018 "A bad idea is GIVING PEOPLE A CHOICE and then TELLING THEM THEY’RE WRONG . I think that is against democracy... I’M NOT THEN TELLING PEOPLE THAT VOTED TO LEAVE THAT THEY’RE WRONG. "

"One of the promises I made during last year's campaign was to RESPECT THE REFERENDUM RESULT . This is a promise I have honoured since taking office. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT REMAINING IN THE IS COMPATIBLE WITH THAT PROMISE ."

Letter to Theresa May, 10 July 2018 BIGGEST MANDATE ANYONE ANYTHING HAS RECEIVED IN BRITISH ELECTORAL

#RespectTheResult "Those people who want a second referendum are now saying, 'WELL, BECAUSE YOU VOTED IN THE WRONG WAY, WE'LL GIVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE TO GET IT RIGHT' - that undermines the whole principle of democracy in this country." "The only people campaigning for a second referendum are the ones who lost the first. PRECIOUS FEW LEAVE VOTERS SEEM TO BE CLAMOURING FOR THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THEIR MIND !"

Labour, Shadow Trade Secretary

Radio 4 and Twitter, 21 August 2018 "During its existence, the EU has shown real contempt for national Parliaments and their political activities. IT HAS SHOWN REAL CONTEMPT FOR ELECTORATES. It showed real contempt by forcing the Greek Prime Minister out of his job and through its enforcement of huge, huge cuts on Ireland. The EU does not tolerate the political independence and democratic integrity of the modern European nation, and we should know that in this Parliament. When we talk of parliamentary democracy, let us not forget just how many years we have lived without true parliamentary democracy in this country... I want us to be optimistic and to be out there saying, ' THIS CAN WORK. THIS CAN BE GREAT .' W e are GREAT COUNTRY , so let us get on with it."
