Biographical/Historical Note

WSVH is a FM public radio station that broadcasts from Savannah, Georgia and serves the entire Georgia coastline. The station was established by A. Leonard Kantziper and began broadcasting in April 1981. WSVH was independently run until 1988 when it joined the state wide public radio network, Peach State Public Radio, which is an affiliate of Georgia . WSVH broadcasts on 91.1 FM and plays mostly European classical music, , and news from National Public Radio.

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains correspondence, budgets, station publications, newspaper clippings, and two mugs from the WSVH radio station from 1980 to 1989. These records relate to the station's founding in 1981 and its membership in the Peach State Public Radio network.
