Dr. Frank Harris, Leadership for Student Athletes Dr. Frank Harris, III is Professor of Postsecondary Education in the College of Education and Co-Director of the Community College Equity Assessment Lab (CCEAL) at San Diego State University. His research is broadly focused on student development and success in postsecondary PRESENTS education and explores questions related to the social construction of gender and race on college campuses; college men and masculinities; and racial/ethnic disparities in college student outcomes.

Lizette Navarette, Women’s Leadership Lizette Navarette is the Vice President for Strategy & Policy Development at the Community College League of (League). At the TARTAR League, Lizette oversees budget and policy advocacy for California’s 72 community college districts. In her role, Lizette works closely with elected trustees, chancellors and presidents to support the success of local districts and the students they serve. Previously, she was the Legislative Advocate for the League. Lizette has overseen regional relations at the SUCCESS: , Riverside and served as the Youth & Education Coordinator in the Office of the Mayor for the City of Riverside.

Dr. Dawn Person, Women’s Leadership Pathways to Dawn Person is Professor of Educational Leadership at California State University, Fullerton. She serves as Coordinator of the Community College, Higher Education Specialization for the Educational Doctorate. Leadership Dawn was part of a team of authors who wrote about the undergraduate experience of students of color attending colleges with predominantly Caucasian populations, and she is co-editor of a book on the first-year experience of college students of color. She has written numerous & Careers articles and book chapters on retention for African American men and women, and women and student athletes of color.

Dr. Lisa Rodriguez, Women’s Leadership Dr. Rodriguez is a native of Pomona, Calif. She holds a Bachelor’s degree MARCH 30, 2017 in English & World Literature from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Master’s and Ph.D. in Education with a Social Justice & 8:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. Diversity emphasis from Claremont Graduate University. With 25 years experience in higher education as faculty, staff, and administration, she Check-In: Student Lounge is most proud of her community work as co-founder of a small nonprofit agency, The Women’s Multimedia Center. The Center’s mission was to assist women on parole, serving prison time, or in residential drug treatment programs by providing technology skills and education options. Dr. Rodriguez taught for 10 years cumulatively in , Mt. San Antonio College, and the , all in California.
