Gov. Bush, I have been a supporter of your's from the very beginning. It is apparent that Katherine Harris (whom I have supported in the past) is going to be a disaster for the Republican Party in Florida if she is not replaced in the Senate race.

You are the logical candidate to replace her. You could continue to help Florida through your work in Washington. Most importantly, you could greatly assist your brother in Washington during his last two years.

Please consider what millions of Floridians are requesting- a Senator Jeb Bush in Washington. You also could be very instrumental in keeping the U. S. Senate Republican.

Please seriously consider this Floridian request.

Just back from luncheon at the Sarasota Yacht Club and we were batting around what to do with Congresswoman Harris???

I was honored to sit at the Vice Commodores table. It is certainly a problem for the Republican Party both state and national...

As a long time supporter of Congresswoman Harris who donated several thousands of dollars, I feel it is time for her to go....just too much baggage.

There is no one on the scene that can save the Senate seat in Florida except you!

I have no idea of your future plans, but I hope when I get up Thursday morning that the head lines read:

This Republican believes that you should run for the Senate seat now occupied by Bill Nelson. There are important reasons, not the least being that you can win. Who better understands the issues facing Florida or could energize the party base which now looks ready to sit on their hands this November. Such a decision may even change the national Republican political dynamics which now appears in disarray. Your international credentials are solid, particularly on Caribbean and South American issues. You deal every day with security at our ports and airports with drug smuggling and terrorist threats and are clearly articulate. I know one thing for sure, you would get this Republican off his ass this November. Jerome M. Cohen-Boynton Beach, Fl. Dear Governor,

It has been a while since my last note to you. On my last note, I asked for your advice because I was interested in a career in Public Services. You recommended that I should study history, laws, etc.

I am going to graduate in May 5, 2006 in Political Sciences at Florida Atlantic University. After that I am starting Graduate School at the same University. I will do my Masters in International Relations. After that, I will then finish Law School (International Law).

I am very pleased with my education. I have learned a lot about the World, and my most interesting subject is Terrorism and Coercion. I had classes about the Florida Government as well.

In order to attend school, I quit my job and I opened my own company. Now, I work from my house, and I have time to study and make money.

I am happy. I am writing this note for you to know that there are people out here who do not write only to ask for things. I usually write to congratulate you or to tell you that I would like to see you as a candidate for the presidency in 2008. I do not believe the Democrats will be able to win this race. If they do, many plans already in works will have to be paralyzed. I do not think it is viable for a country to swap leadership ideals at this time.

I wish you and your family the best. Please, run for President. I promise to vote for you. You have a star shining upon you, therefore you must continue public service!

I work in Washington for a Florida Member of Congress, which means I am still registered to vote in Florida and am technically still a Florida resident. I know you have repeatedly said that you weren't going to run for Senate, but in light of the St. Pete Times article this morning, I am begging you as a constituent to please consider that decision. I know the Senate is slow and would probably drive you crazy but Florida and the nation need you to run. You've done such an amazing job with the state that I can only imagine the Senator you'd become. Please, please, please consider running for the Senate. Florida needs someone on that side with a vision and ambition, not another wet duck with no enthusiasm.

I know I am only one constituent, but I hope that many are contacting you. Perhaps my email will be one of many that persuades you to run.

Thank you for your great service to Florida.

Here I am again encouraging you to run for the office of President of the United States this coming 2008. You won me over in how you dealt with "The Terri Schiavo Thing." I'm interested in knowing more about how you are in your policies. I hope you are "pro-." I and others hate Muslims because of 9-1-1. They need to be evicted out of the land of Israel. No one's losing any sleep over when we massacred the Indians and forced the ones we didn't kill over the Mississippi River in the "Trail of Tears."

TELL ME MORE! God knows I despise and reject the Clintons. Anybody in Arkansas would ask you if you ask them about the Clintons, "You seriously want 8 more years of that? The Clintons are bad news."

What can I do to help you win? I think you are a man of high integrity when you are compared to the Clintons and I would vote for you and support you. With you running, your wife would help you do a great deal what the GOP has wanted to do for so long, with a candidate's wife being a different race than the candidate, they can get Blacks and Other ethnic groups to leave the Democrats. You would be the ideal candidate to get that done! Most blacks and other ethnic groups espect and love interracial marriages.

Come on and jump in! I look forward to meeting you in person in Memphis soon!

Dear Governor Bush, I'm an OB/GYN in Tifton,Georgia. I've never before contacted a politician for any reason that I can remember. However, I do strongly support your policies in Florida and the way you have managed your state. I also strongly support your brothers policies in the White House. I think our country would really have a crisis if ANY democrat were to win the next election and undo what President Bush has started. I'm a simple thinker, but I see you as the only person who could definitely beat Hillary Clinton. You would obviously win Florida and Texas. Then with Ohio or Michigan, you would be our next President. Please reconsider your decision and run for President. Our country really needs you at this time.

Dear Governor ,

Right now, as I realize that we will be losing one of the greatest Presidents in history soon, as WELL as one of the best Governors in the , someone who is dedicated not only to his constituents, but to State employees as well. I will be losing the best President in my lifetime, as well as the best Governor in my adult life who cares genuinely for his constituents.

My greatest fear is that a liberal Dem. (like Mrs. Clinton!) will be the person running for the highest office in the land and even worse, ! I fear that she might win if no one runs against her who can be as effective as your brother and your Dad were in balancing a budget, and making our lives better and safer, by keeping us safe from terrorism on our soil.

This brings me to tell you how worried I am that I probably won't be around to reassure and protect my beautiful little four year old granddaughter Katey. and to be secure in the knowledge, that there are leaders who will keep her safe. I am 61 years old and I am hopeful that she will not have to live her lifetime with terrorism as a constant reality.

I worry that not only will she be in danger, but her children too. I thank 'W' for keeping the battles in the streets of instead of the U.S. I thank him for allowing my only grandchild to sleep peacefully at night with none of the fears I had as a little girl in the 50's ( I was born in Pgh. Penna in 1944)!

I know that when I was a child of about 6-7 I had to live with the constant fear of a 'COLD WAR' I had no idea what was going on when we had 'siren drills' . All I knew was that we had to retreat to inner hallways of our elementary school in Pittsburgh, Penna. when the siren blasted and 'crouch' down until the all clear siren sounded. I only knew I was terrified! I learned later, when I was old enough to understand of course, that we were teetering on the brink of a 3rd World War!. I don't want my sweet, happy, little four year oldgranddaughter Katey to have to live through that.

My husband's father, Paul Mulhollem, was a survivor of a COLDWAR SHOOTDOWN while in the service, when the aircraft he was a crew member on , was shot down by a Russian Mig

He and his comrades managed to climb into a rubber raft and floated around in the Sea of Japan.until a rescue plane arrived , one member of the crew was not so lucky. and perished when he was 'sucked' down with the aircraft as it went down.. they feared the Russian migs would return to 'pick them off' ( there were more than one!) but the survivors were to live to tell the story, which almost led to another war. There were congressmen who wanted to retaliate immediately but cooler heads prevailed and Britt's dad made history that day, and eventually retired from the Navy. He passed away in the early 80's of natural causes.

We have clippings from the Alameda Calif. newspapers where they lived as a Navy family. (it was also NATIONAL news of course) Britt's mother ( who still lives in that area of OceanSide California) saved the news clippings for Britt and his children and grand children so they would know what his dad endured, ( as well as her I am sure!)

When Katey is old enough to understand we will show her and her children these news clippings that are now historical testimony to a frightening time in US history, and for my husband's family.

I believe his dad's dedicated service to this country ( he retired after 30 years as a Navy Chief) instilled in Britt the same dedication to his country and to possibly prevent another mother and son from having to sit at home with the fear and anquish that he and his mother suffered while waiting to hear about their loved one. My husband went on to join the Army and served his country (and I believe his Dad as well!) in VIETNAM. He is now ( as you know) a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran.

Please excuse the length of my letter but it may well be the last one that I will write to you!

My point is to ask you to PLEASE reconsider your decision not to 'run' for the office of POTUS!!

As I age I would like to know that someone I trust as much as your brother and your Dad will be making the decisions for this country , me, my family and especially my sweet little Katey (you would fall in love with her!) seriously, strangers come up to us in public places where they ask if she is a little child star because she is so 'precocious' and liken her to Shirley Temple because of her sweet face and personality!)

I can only hope that you will consider that fate may have other plans for you and your family, and that you are that someone who will decide whether or not my beautiful little Katey will sleep peacefully at night in her lifetime. I understand why you would hesitate to put yourself and your family in the spotlight where the liberal press will certainly try to keep 'another BUSH' from taking the highest office our country!! , and I REALIZE that you want to protect your wife and family from the obvious personal scrutiny that will certainly ensue, BUT, I believe that you also need to consider that you might have a higher calling, and that is to serve the American people as did your brother and father, and to make sure my grandchild, AND YOURS, are safe, and will not have to grow up in fear.

I cannot end this without saying THANK YOU JEB, for all you have done for the people of Florida, as well as me and my husband Britt personally, while Governor of the great State of Florida.

Please extend to your brother and my President, my thanks for his service to our Country I also thank YOU for your service, not only to our State ( I cringe to think who will be our next Governor!) but to our Country. with many thanks and best wishes whatever your decision!

Mr. Bush:

I have emailed you twice today regarding Rod Reynolds, who is running for mayor of Winter Garden. I have access to a complete audiotape of a candidate's rally held on Saturday, February 4, 2006, sponsored by and attended by Doug Guetzloe and Rod Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds stated at this rally:

"I want you to know why I'm not running again for District One. It's because I gave my word that I wouldn't. My word is my bond. I told the governor when I was appointed I would not use that as a springboard, to use an incumbency to give me an advantage in District One. That's why I'm not running there again. But I didn't make any promises about the Mayorship." - Rod Reynolds, mayoral candidate, Winter Garden, Florida

I also note that Reynolds and Guetzloe addressed your brother, President Bush, at a nationally televised public forum on Friday, February 17, 2006 in Tampa, Florida. Reynolds questioned President Bush about the federal highway bill, but prefaced his question with a statement that he was running for mayor and once again mentioned your name.

Again, I must ask: Are you personally, or the Office of the Governor of Florida, endorsing Rod Reynolds for mayor of Winter Garden?

Thank you.

Dear Gov. Bush

I as a Republican has known of the money needed to support our efforts to reelect and elect other Republicans. My family has given money in the past but has had the effect of being on the receiving in of many calls requesting more money. We have come to the conclusion that the party does not want money because the make calls one the verge of harassment to any one that has donated in the past. We want to give money to the party but are there any way to donate with out getting the phone calls.

I would like it if Tony Jennings would run for your post next election. She has all the intelligence need to make a great governor for this state.

You have done a great job as governor and need to move on and up and get Bill Nelson out of there. Your no child left behind is a good answer to a problem. It has had the effect of putting the most disruptive students in the classes. If the student that are disruptive could have a class to them and not disrupt the good student who are trying to learn in class. It is hard enough to teach students that are trying to learn but to have students that does not care about being in the class and wanting to be out side playing.

When I was in school we had it bad because of the location of the school. It was next to train tracks and two major roads. The school did not have air conditioning. My teacher had to stop teaching every time the train would go by.

My wife is a teacher and the class she was in did not have enough books for each student to have one while in class. She could not give homework because the students did not have a book to take home to do the work. Her class had students that only spoke one of five languages. The students were only in her class for part of the year because the families moved with the work. She could not expect the families to buy the books used here and two-month move to another state. That was her first year teaching.

She has not been able to get another teaching job because it had that she has a problem with classroom management on her history. She is willing to take classes to learn better classroom management. She wants to get another teaching job but cannot get one with that on her resume.

She needs help getting a teaching job that other teacher has not quit to get out of that class. She had the class of fifth graders Math and Sciences at Saddler Elementary in Orlando before the teacher that wrote the letter.

Thank you, From: Deborah Michael To: Governor Jeb Bush CC: [email protected] Date: 2/4/2006 6:41:14 AM Subject: the 2008 presidential race

I strongly encourage you to announce that you want to be our next President. I haven't met your wife or seen your wife. I think with her going to bat for you with blacks, hispanics, and the other ethnic groups out there, that you will win by a landslide.

I support your brother always and I look forward to hearing your ideas should you decide to throw your hat into the ring.

How could I help you win it? I have a degree in tv news and I could help you win by campaigning.

Dear Jeb,

My wife and I campaigned for you for Governor, three times(no we did not give up on you - we knew you would win in the end) and your brother twice for President. We hope you will run for President down the road. My wife and I stand read to campaign for you. We also need your advice on the next Governor of Florida. As loyal Republicans, we would like your honest opinion on who you think will make the best Republican Governor in the coming election. I think this is important as sometimes candidates do not turn out as they promise. For example, My wife and I favored Bill McCoullum in the last Senate race but voted for Mel Martinez because of the recommendation by the Republican Party. Sometimes we think Mel is not your brothers best supporter, but we understand the politics behind the decision. Anyway, we would like your input as to who you think would make the best Republican Governor for Florida.

Dear Jeb, As your friend and long-time supporter, I urge you to enter the 2008 Presidential Election build-up now. You would be a great candidate for the Republican Party and an outstanding President. As Governor of Florida, you have proven your ability to be an excellent leader for the people of Florida. As a conservative member of the RNC and the Republican Party of Florida, I am convinced that the United States will need you in the White House in January 2009 to continue the outstanding work of your brother, President Bush, and to keep our defenses strong and our economy vibrant. It is imperative that Republicans win the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives in 2008. With you as the Presidential nominee for our Republican Party, victory will be assured! I am long-time supporters of Republican leaders Gov. Jeb Bush, and Speaker Newt Gingrich. I was a volunteer for Senator Gordon Humphrey, from N.H., when he ran for re-election and won in 1984.

It is my understanding that Katherine Haris may not be a first choice among Republican leaders in the state, and although I understand the reason, I think she is a wonderful person, and has served the state of Florida extremely well.

We need the added margin in the Senate that a defeat of Sen. Bill Nelson would provide, but more than that, we need a straight talking conservative who would not be afraid to "tell it like it is", a gentleman legislator instead of a career politition.

Attached is a brief "bio" to introduce myself, and would appreciate any suggestions on what I need to do to develop support to run this time. I have no money and no organization. All I have is a good mind, and an honest heart. The only "litmus test" that I would apply to anything I do, or legislation that I would support would be this: "Laws and Bills passed by Congress MUST benefit ALL the people, not just some of the people". Example: If you pass a Mohair subsidy that benefits Mohair farmers, it must also benefit non-Mohair farmers, and/or people who aren't farmers at all. Otherwise, it gets defeated.

Please help me - it's not too late. I would make an attractive candidate and a great debator against Bill Nelson.

Thank you and God Bless you. In Christian Love,

GOV BUSH:

I know you have said you have No plans to run for President in 08? Further you have said you have no plans to run for the U.S. Senate in 06?

Well whoever is Elected to the Presidency in 08 will, unless they are just awful will be re-elected. That has just been the Norm over the Past 50 years!

So if you do not run in 08 you probably will not be able to successfully run and WIN until 2012. If you do not run for the U.S. Senate you will have been unemployed from 2007-2012, which would not help your credentials to seek the 2012 Presidential Endeavor.

I would encourage you to Run for Nelsons seat for the U.S. Senate. I would also encourage you to seek the Presidential Nomination for 2008 and accept the VP Job is offered. Even if this GOP Nomination ticket were to fail you would still look good. Keep the Bush name in the lime light. Keep banging on the White House Door and you persistence will pay off!

I know GWB would let you have a Ambassadorship to any County you would Desire. Don't know how that would help your Resume for President?

There is now, as when GWB was Gov of TX a serious & critical void in the Both Republican and Democratic Leadership/candidates for the 2008 Presidential Campaign. All the standard bearers on either side in Washington leave a lot to be desired.

I sent a letter while I was in the Army at Fort Hood TX begging you Big Brother to run for President, he did an he won!!!

YOU MUST PLAN TO DO SOMETHING TO REMAIN VIABLE FOR THE FUTURE! Talk it over with GWB and you POP! Planning and timing are critical at this Juncture as you dad would say.

Our County needs you Experience and Leadership.

I share the same first name with Governor Bush and wondered if it was possible to obtain some election posters or button badges bearing our shared name.

Coming from Scotland I have never come across anyone with the same name and was surprised a number of years ago when watching a news item to see a stadium filled with people bearing Jeb for Governor posters.

I would be extremly grateful if you were able to send anything. I was contacted a number of years ago by someone from the american navy who also had the name jeb. He informed me that the name is not very common even in the states. best wishes Jeb McLeish

Hi Governor Jeb:

I received in the mail today a letter from Tom Gallagher asking for our support for his run for governor when your term expires. He states that he has worked along side of you and is on the same "wave length" as you on many of our important conservative issues. He further asked that we place his bumper sticker on our car endorsing him for governor. Before I do that, however, I would like your answer to some questions, if possible. I noted nowhere in his campaign literature, a personal endorsement of this candidate by you for this important post. therefore I am e-mailing you to find out if you are supportive of this candidate for governor. Can you help?

Thanks! I would also be interested in knowing your take on his views on gun control. Looking forward to your reply.

Dear Governor,

Most attorneys refuse to go "on the record" with a negative statement regarding a judicial candidate. My feeling is that if I remain silent, I only have myself to blame and that this is the time when one's character should be carefully examined.

I am writing regarding an applicant for the current opening in Escambia County. I have been an attorney for 21 years and have practiced in Escambia County, Florida for the past 11 years. In 1997 to 1998 I worked with Charlie Peppler. I was an associate with a large statewide insurance defense firm, and when our managing partner moved, I recommended Charlie Peppler as a replacement (he was not previously with the firm) and he was hired.

To my regret, Mr. Peppler did not treat me fairly or with honesty. He refused to give me any cases which were newly initiated. Instead, he gave me cases where he had already done all of the discovery and they were scheduled for trial. Because much of the "review" time to familiarize myself with a case going trial is not billable to the insurance client, this caused a decrease in my billable hours and reflected poorly on my work with the firm. Mr. Peppler was aware of this problem, but insisted on assigning his "dog" cases to me. Because of this and poor health insurance, I left that firm.

I believe that this shows his true character. That he was willing to sacrifice my career with the firm so he could improve his career and his income. He does not have the qualities I would want presiding over my cases.

Dear Sir,

I am so desperately seeking a job in the political field for the Republican Party. I am a very strong Republican and seem to be focused alot on politics and would like to seek a place of employment where I can utilize my knowledge and make a difference. The only backround I have had was campaigning for the President here in Jacksonville. I still talk to alot of people whenever possible in regards to get them to be free of the liberal "bondage" that they are in. Alot of my friends tell me that I am passionate and that I should seek a job in this field, so I have been trying to find that that door that will open up for me. The people that I talk to are the people who predominately support the democratic party. I have been told many times from them that I "get them to think." I am a pretty bold person who is not afraid to tell people the truth, no matter who they are. I have been educating people on the history of the Democratic and Republican Party. People have been misled in their thoughts. It makes a great difference to be able to share with them this information. Hopefully this will benefit the Republican Party in the future. I have been self educating myself and have learned a great deal and wish that I would of learned what I have alot earlier. I would appreciate and information and advice you are able to share with me that perhaps can help me obtain a job in this field. I personally, would love to run against and put her out of commission for good.

Dear Governor Bush,

I want to thank you for your service to our great state. Your policies and moral leadership have been very good for Florida. I believe the state could not be on a better track. I have had the pleasure of meeting you a couple of times; your visit to Southern Wine and Spirits offices in Miami, a picnic in Ft. Lauderdale, and a campaign kickoff meeting on Ft. Lauderdale beach for the President’s 04 run. I saw your speech to the NRA convention as I am an endowment member. I am a political hobbyist. I belong to BREC and am a precinct captain. I try to read/listen/watch as much as possible re the news, not so much local, but national and international. Every chance I get I debate/inform to counteract the influence of the media bias and bring people into the Republican fold. This brings me to the purpose of my letter. This country needs you to run for President in 2008 and win. I read your brother’s book prior to his run. It outlined his beliefs on major issues and his successes w/his policies in Texas. Your successes and what will be continued successes in Florida fit exactly what this country needs on every issue; Education, Social Security, the War on Terror, Domestic Security, the Economy, Personal Responsibility, Fiscal Responsibility, Respecting Life, Medicaid, Multiculturalism, Smaller Government, Support of the Second Amendment, etc. This has been my feeling for the last year and a half. The other un-announced Republican candidates, McCain and Giuliani might not be able to win/build a big enough coalition because of their stance on Abortion and Gun control. They will get into a bickering match w/Hillary. You can rise above all of this. If you listen to the main stream media you might think that the country is ready for a change/tired of Bush’s. Not so. There won’t be a red state that changes camps. You will clearly win Florida, you just need Ohio! I can just imagine you in the debates. You will not need to choose a VP from a state to get votes. Dr. Rice should be your choice. A brilliant woman, well spoken, and firmly committed to our cause. We all think very highly of her. I felt it necessary to write this. There has been no speculation of this in the media. This very much leads me to believe that you will run. But I am nervous as it is so important.

Thank you for your time and public service. This country needs you!!!!!

Dear Governor Bush, It is an honor just to write this letter to you. I am a Republican and have supported your family and I must say I have been proud to do so. The only sad thing about it is you're all going out of business soon ,or maybe not .I hope you prove me wrong. I am a !00% disabled Veteran form the Viet Nam conflict ,and when I was wounded three months after my eighteenth birthday I was hospitalized for over three months. It should never have been that long however the Doctor who first worked on me left a 4x4 gauge in my back and they needed to open me up four times, before they went deep enough to find what was causing the infection. Well after I became a ambulatory patient the Marine Corp decided that since I had a top secret clearance they would use me as a courier until I fully recovered. With my new orders I was able to travel from Saigon to Khe Sanh delivering everything from classified to top secret material to all the different commends. I must say at eighteen I became very interested in politics after reading a lot of that material, and you might say I had a crash course in politics . I learned a lot from all that material which most of it was never sealed so to be honest I would read it and I began to wonder why I was where I was, because of the attitude of most of the letters from big shots to other big shots in Nam. Anyway I guess I see things differently from most folks and I believe the President is doing such a wonderful job ,and how the media has beaten him up every day is disgusting. This president will be remembered and regarded as one of the best and people will be happy when the dust settles that he was in charge during this crisis. There are a lot of folks who would like to see you go for it Governor., and by the time the president time is coming to an end the people will be looking for another Mr. Bush to fill his shoes. You have the reputation and the brains. So just to let you know if you decide to throw your name in the hat please remember me so I can work like crazy for you in the state of Florida doing what ever I can. I am an independent from Massachusetts who absolutely, one hundred percent support the sitting President Bush, the first President Bush, and hopefully the future President Bush. The country needs strong leadership like your brother is providing us, and everything I hear says you are cut from the same cloth. I have the utmost respect for Senator McCain or Rudy Guliani but I truly believe that it is you or Senator Frist that will be the nominee. I would love to see the two of you team up and get it done. I'm sure you as a candidate don't want to be named with someone else but what a team that would be!! I'm sure you have done a wonderful job as Governor of Florida but now the rest of us need someone like yourself. My biggest concern after September 11th is our country's safety, we need to continue with Republican leadership to keep us safe. I always tell my son ( a huge Bush family supporter, I might add ) that 30 or 40 years from now, people are going to rank your brother as one of the greatest Presidents ever because of the war on terror. The nation needs to continue this fight, not cut and run like so many Democrats want. Whatever you choose, you will have my support. Governor Bush,

Let me begin by thanking you for your service to our beautiful state. There have been many ups and downs for us yet you have remained a constant leader that we could all be proud of through thick and thin. You have continued to stay true to your beliefs regardless of the political outcome, a quality that runs in the family evidenced by your brother as he directs our nation to greatness as its president.

It is to that point that I am writing you now. In 2008 the task in which the president has undertaken as our leader will only be partially complete as he passes the torch on to his predecessor. The country can ill afford a leader not willing to stand confident in the belief that we can and will succeed in all the president has set out to accomplish. I know you share in that belief and have proven to be the same kind of leader rising above your critics holding fast to your core beliefs. Please give more than a little thought to becoming that presidential candidate for the GOP in 2008.

The challenges you and your family will face would be many. The sacrifice required to lead this country of ours is no less than your giving your life for its cause. I know I am asking for the ultimate from you and your beautiful family. I remember you and your family attending Sunday evening mass back during your first year as governor at Blessed Sacrament where I was leading the guitar mass at the time. I felt very proud knowing that it would have been very easy for you to slough off your Sunday obligation but instead you were there as the head of your family setting an example for all of us. Two hundred and seventy million makes for a large family but I believe you are up to the task and will support your efforts in anyway I can would you consider running. I haven’t a lot of money but would welcome the opportunity to beg on your behalf.

There is too much at stake to send us forward under the control of the elite liberal bureaucrats in Washington. They are hate mongers who have only their own interest at heart and their interest is power for the sake of power. They too easily are willing to lie to the American People using the willing media as a pawn to further the cause of maintaining their own elitism. They From: Tim Thielen To: Governor Jeb Bush Date: 1/3/2006 5:47:45 AM Subject: Run for President in 2008

They look upon the poor and middle class as the ignorant masses that will keep them in power playing on the emotions of the good people of this great country. They encourage mediocrity and prolong the pain of racism, class envy and fear picking at the scab left over from the aches and pains of a growing democracy.

Please consider taking the lead in ’08 by believing in the people of this country and the basic goodness that lives in their hearts. Give every man, woman and child the chance to live life to its fullest by promoting a free economy with policies that lesson their dependence on the government and grow their independence to be the best mother, brother, sister, father or child they can be. Give us access to an education that will serve as light to the rest of the world. Give the medical community all the tools needed for free competition and quality health care worth paying for showing the world that American ingenuity is still the best. Give our service men and women a commander and chief they would give their lives for to the cause of good throughout the world. Help them complete their mission then bring them home to us.

I know that you and the president may not see eye to eye on every issue. This is understood and appreciated. But, I feel you have the same basic core beliefs for family, democracy and love for this great country. You have proven you are more than up to the charge of the presidency in your governing of Florida.

I look forward to your announcement as the end of 2006 nears and will be there to support that decision.

Many thanks,

Tim

Our estuary needs time to recover from the extreme discharges of polluted water from Lake Okeechobee. Over 10,000 acres of seagrass are at risk of being permanently destroyed which would lead to a complete collapse of the entire estuary.

Specifically, we need to have no more than an average of 600 cubic feet per second discharges in a pulse release schedule at the Franklin Locks (S79) during the dry season (November through May) and a maximum of 2800 cubic feet per second at the Franklin Locks during the rainy season (June through October).

The Army Corps of Engineers needs to modify its water release schedule for Lake Okeechobee in order to maintain the Lake levels between 11'-13' to minimize the need for such extreme releases in the future. The decision tree that is part of this schedule needs to effectively protect the estuaries by including their health as an essential component of water release decisions.

Future water releases need to be directed south, the historic flow pattern from the Lake, instead of east and west.

All components of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Program need to be hurried to completion, with all new reservoirs and water retention areas incorporating filter marshes to improve water quality before release to the estuaries
