RIJEKA TO SPLIT LUXURY CRUISE

Cruise almost the whole length of 's Adriatic coastline on a small luxury cruise ship with swim stops every day and a chnce to try some of the many great restaurants ashore most nights. After visiting the islands of and , much quieter than the islands in the south, we head to the beautiful walled port city of Zadar. After a visit to Kornati National Park and its many islands, we head to the beautiful 1000 year old port town of Sibenik. Next to Vis, one of the lesser visited islands as it was the HQ of the Yugoslav navy and thus out of bounds for many years. The nearby Blue Cave is a great side trip before we head to humming Hvar, the liveliest town on any of the islands, and studded with historic features and great views form the castle that stands sentinel over the town. Finally to Split, home of the extraordinary Diocletians Palace that now forms the fabric of central Split, and is filled with houses, hotels, bars, shops, apartments and historical monuments. Day 4, Rab – Zadar, Monday * We are continuing our journey towards Zadar, with a swimming stop at one of the small islands along the way. Upon arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zadar, a city of exceptional history and rich cultural heritage. Zadar historical center is a compact pedestrian zone, perfect to explore on foot. Set out on a walking tour and admire the old walls built in the 16th century by Venetians as a defense from Turks. You will also see the 16th century Port Gate where the Venetian lion still guards the entrance, the Square of the Five Wells, Church of St. Donat, the Roman Forum and the largest cathedral in Dalmatia. Day 5, Zadar – NP Kornati – Sibenik, Tuesday * Enjoy the scenic wonderlands of Kornati National Park, home to more than 140 islands with numerous coves and crystal clear waters. Stop for a swim during your lunchtime cruise. Arrival to Sibenik in the afternoon, and take a walking tour featuring the city's fortification and defense system, which resisted the enemies for centuries. (B, L)

Day 6, Sibenik - Vis, Wednesday * After breakfast sail to the island of Vis. The town Vis, the antique Issa, was founded around 397 B.C. Our tour of Vis features the town’s waterfront. Captain’s dinner with live entertainment aboard our ship tonight. (B, L, D)

Day 7, Vis – Hvar- Split, Thursday * Cruise towards Hvar, Croatia’s sunniest island. Hvar is a favorite holiday destination for international celebrities and yachters; thus, beyond all the glitz and glamour, Hvar town is a charming seaside resort with 8 centuries of architecture waiting to be explored. On a walking tour breathe in the pine-scented breeze, as you absorb vistas of the old town with the picturesque little streets and the first public theatre in Europe. A short sail to Split. Take a walking tour, featuring the historic inner city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. (B, L)
