ARRIVAL

PARKING • adjacent to the front stair wall of the property, just off the roadside • OR directly across the road at the parking spaces

KEY SAFE on Arrival - Key safe located at Ground Floor BACK ENTRANCE of the building • go around the end of front of building on right side • and follow path round to the left to the 2 nd property signed 25A, The Old Chandlery • go through wooden gate and you will see the Key Safe on wall next to back entrance door • Pull the black cover forward and dial in 2525 • Pull the Black Lever with the white arrow down to open the front panel to access the keys

Outside FRONT ENTRANCE to property is • Up FRONT STAIRS to BLUE DOOR - signed The Old Chandlery - 25A • and NOT Front GROUND floor door Below are CONTACT & EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS and addresses should you need them during your stay. FIRE PRECAUTIONS

PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE - OUTDOORS at back entrance - is suitable for smokers DO NOT COVER OR OBSTRUCT SURFACE OF HEATERS TAKE CARE WITH ALL ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES and SWITCH OFF AFTER USE

IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE - PLEASE EXIT • at either the Front or Back DOOR – this is 1 st and best option – if this is not possible then • through ANY REAR WINDOW of the apartment (either upstairs or downstairs) facing out to back of building : REAR living room window / through interior STAIRWAY window / REAR WINDOW of the Master bedroom / REAR WINDOW of back Single bedroom – these allow exit onto exterior back patio (as there is less distance to ground through these rear windows) (NOT through FRONT windows of building - ONLY if above mentioned exit routes not possible)

FIRE EXTINGUISHER (for small kitchen / cooker fire) is located on kitchen wall shelf, above microwave FIRE BLANKET located on same shelf as above SMOKE ALARMS - there are 3 hard-wired interlinked smoke detectors with alarm in the apartment. Red LED will flash rapidly and alarm sounds when smoke detected. For your safety please do not tamper with Smoke Detectors (no batteries) To STOP the alarm due to False alarm (burnt food etc) please PRESS ROUND BUTTON MARKED TEST/HUSH (you can stand on small stool from hallway cupboard) - alarm will be silenced for 10 minutes, then will reset itself

WI-FI & AUDIO VISUAL ENTERTAINMENTS

• switch on wall sockets either side of TV • Wi-Fi will come on • see CARD for Password to login – card is next to router on rear window ledge in living room

TV & FREE SAT

TV with Satellite Decoder box (channel selection) - so there are separate remote controls • switch ON at wall socket • switch ON with both remotes: TV (1) & Free Sat (2) • TV comes on 1st and will show Blue light • Free Sat box comes on next and will show 'BOOT' • then TV should show TV channels

TV REMOTE Control 1 (Samsung) - for MAIN VOLUME / Picture adjustment etc

FREE SATELLITE REMOTE Control 2 (TRIAX) – for CHANNELS (plus small range of VOLUME) To SELECT CHANNELS 1) Press FAVOURITES– Triangle with Heart symbol (above black CH bottom right) – this shows list of FAVOURITE / REGULAR channels Navigate through favourites list with inner ring UP & DOWN BLACK ARROW BUTTONS 2) OR for channels you can also use the UP & DOWN BLACK ARROW BUTTONS in circular selector in centre of the Triax handset 3) small range of Volume : press VOL plus or minus + - (bottom left)

AVOID the CH black button – (bottom right) for the time being

DVD / CD player (Toshiba)

Switch ON with REMOTE 3 (Toshiba) and TV automatically switches to DVD

Sony MUSIC PLAYER – CD, Bluetooth connectivity and Radio

Bluetooth device is on shelf next to stereo - press button on Bluetooth device until lights flashing and then you should be able to pair it to yr device (see instruction booklet next to music player)

HOT WATER

TAP HOT WATER (Kitchen & Bathroom) Grey Box below wall clock next to kitchen door 'Water Heating Boost Control' • Switch to 'Timed' - (water heater switch) • HOT Tap WATER - Turn then Rotate the Boost Knob (takes 30 mins to heat up)

SHOWER - Big switch to left of bathroom door, water will heat when you start the shower SHOWER CONTROLS – Power On-Off / Heat Level / Temp • we recommend that you leave on High heat level • and adjust Temperature Dial to comfortable temperature AFTER SHOWER – could you please open window and wipe down remaining moisture off surfaces with the provided white cloths (at back of toilet)

HEATING

STORAGE HEATERS (downstairs) CONVECTOR HEATERS (upstairs)

DO NOT COVER OR OBSTRUCT SURFACE OF HEATERS

On Arrival if cold : • switch on the left switch on the big heater between the living room front windows and also • switch on the small switch on the control panel, control the heat with the dial. • there is a small fan heater in the hall cupboard which can be used for additional instant heat. • the bedroom convector heaters are instant, and can be switched on anytime.

How to use Downstairs STORAGE HEATERS • large switch to the right of each heater to switch on • Input controls how hot it gets, winter higher and summer lower. • Room Temp Boost controls how fast it heats the room, but will make the heater cool off faster, so in general leave this at minimum setting, unless needed. • read recommendation for settings on the heater • large living room heater near to front windows, is a Storage & Convector heater Storage heaters heat up over time and will heat overnight, so will not provide instant heat, but will make the property very warm the following day if turned up the day before.

How to use the BEDROOM CONVECTOR HEATERS • each heater has a wall switch, switch this on first • there is a further on/off switch on the small control panel. • there is a dial to control the heat level and a half power switch.

HEATED TOWEL RAIL - Bathroom & downstairs Toilet • wall switches with Red light - located just outside of Bathroom & downstairs Toilet (remember to switch off) these get quite hot when left on, so be careful!

FAN HEATER on kitchen wall near door & small FAN HEATER in cabinet next to living room (for short duration use)

Kitchen & Utility ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

Kitchen and Utility PRODUCT MANUALS are kept in UTILITY ROOM WALL UNIT

MICROWAVE - to use: Select MICROWAVE / START / TIME REQUIRED with ROUND KNOB / START

TUMBLE DRYER switch on at wall / select DRYING TIME ON ROUND DIAL / select LOW OR HIGH HEAT / PRESS START

WASHING MACHINE - Use recommended programmes as shown in manual • Put GEL washing machine tabs/pods INSIDE MACHINE ON TOP OF LOAD Put POWDER tabs into COMPARTMENT 2 • Turn WASH CYCLE knob to select programme / select WASHING TEMPERATURE / select SPIN SPEED / START BEST CHOICES for WASH CYCLE with average durations (not too long) include : • cycle 3 & 4 - up to 1200 spin at low water temperature (clothing) • cycle 10 - up to 1200 spin & up to 60 degrees water temperature (non-shrink clothing/bedding • see manual for more programmes & wash cycle choices

REFUSE & RECYCLING

REFUSE can be put in exterior GREEN Wheelie Bin located at bottom of front steps (of property) just along wall - marked 25A

RECYCLING : There are LOCAL Recycling banks Avoch : across the road (from this property) to the right in front of the corner garden is a large blue public recycling tub / Avoch Primary School car park / Just as you exit west out of Avoch, there is a lay- by area with Glass bank and textile recycling Large RECYCLING CENTRES are located in Inverness and Dingwall (also large Supermarkets car parks)

Items which can be recycled: Paper / Cardboard / Cardboard based food and drink cartons-TetraPak / Tins & Cans / Plastic bottles , plastic food tubs and packets(rinsed and lids removed) / Aerosols (empty ) / Glass

GENERAL POINTS

PETS - we would appreciate if you could • Please keep pets downstairs at all times • Please keep pets off the sofas and furnishings

NOISE - we would appreciate if noise levels were low during late evening and over night, as there are other flats in the building and adjoining buildings - Many Thanks

DEPARTURE

KEY SAFE on DEPARTURE after locking the doors please return the keys to the safe and scramble the numbers

WHEN YOU LEAVE: Please… • leave the property tid y and dispose of perishable food • Bed linen and towels can be left upstairs – put wet towels over bath • switch off the lights • make sure electrical appliances are switched off (excluding the fridge or freezer) • check that all heaters and towel rail heaters x2 are switched off • lock exterior doors and close windows , • Check you have all your luggage • return the key to the key safe • Vacate the property by 10am unless otherwise agreed prior to arrival
