NTS Motorsports Fast Facts

• NTS Motorsports, originally founded as a family racing team in Bakersfield, California in 2001, found success in various racing divisions on the West Coast, but now looks to carry that success over to NASCAR’s elite series’.

• NTS Motorsports took root in North Carolina late in 2012 when NTS Motorsports owner Bob Newberry purchased the former , Inc. 70,000 square foot premiere facility in Kernersville, N.C. and merged racing operations with Joe Denette Motorsports.

• While NTS Motorsports operates primarily out of Kernersville, N.C. with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and ARCA Racing Series entries, they also have a shop and notable presence in California, currently competing in the NASCAR K&N Series and Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series.

• Boasting a talented driver stable with four-time NCWTS Champion Ron Hornaday, Jr. and NCWTS Rookie Contender Brennan Newberry, NTS Motorsports is fielding two full-time NCWTS Silverados during the 2013 Season.

• Hornaday joins NTS Motorsports to drive the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado with Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff and Anderson’s Maple Syrup returning in 2013 and also adding AKL Insurance as a sponsor partner into the mix.

• Newberry began the 2013 season driving the No. 14 Chevrolet Silverado, but with new sponsor Qore-24 and approval from NASCAR, the team will change to the No. 24 for the remainder of the season.

• NTS Motorsports will field a third truck at select NCWTS events with various drivers, including current Sprint Cup star and 2007 Daytona 500 winner Kevin Harvick at a minimum of two races.

• California based driver Dallas Montes leads the west coast charge for NTS Motorsports as he pilots the No. 29 Chevrolet full time in the NASCAR K&N West Series.

• The elder Newberry hired Bruce Cook as the Director of Competition. Cook brings more than 15 years of experience among all of NASCAR series,’ including the 2011 NCWTS Owner’s Championship where he served as the crew chief. He will also fill the role of crew chief for the No. 9 truck and veteran Hornaday.

• Eddie Pardue calls the shots for the No. 24 team and newcomer Newberry. Pardue joined NTS Motorsports bringing with him a successful history of developing young drivers while at Roush Fenway Racing.
