After extensive discussion, the Board made the following motion: “Out of respect for our past partnership and future cooperation with the City of Clare, the Board supports increasing the reimbursement to the city for a school liaison officer in 2017-18 by $15,000 to an amount of $40,000. This motion is contingent on the acceptance of the COPS grant by the City of Clare before November 30, 2014.” Based on this new development, the City Manager felt obligated to bring this matter back to the City Commission for reconsideration.
