Expectations were to: 1) develop a research program with international visibility that resulted in a sustained record of publication and extramural funding and 2) to engage the cooperation of scientists within KSU and other Land Grant Universities. Research was supported by over $3,000,000 in grants. Teaching (40%): Responsibilities were to: 1) teach undergraduate and graduate courses, 2) advise undergraduate and graduate students, and 3) contribute to the excellence of the teaching mission at KSU.
