Hines has extensive experience in multifaceted and variegated development assignments like this. We are a leading global real estate development, investment and management firm equipped with six decades of global experience working with the public and private sectors through each stage of the planning, design and development process. We believe we are the right firm for this relationship with Port Chester for the following reasons: Hines has a proven track record as a leader in the real estate development industry. Hines has approximately $100 billion of assets under management, including $54.5 billion for which Hines provides fiduciary investment management services. Village of Port Chester Downtown Master Developer Qualifications 3 Cover Letter Section 1 September 12, 2017 Hines understands what it takes to engage the public sector and local communities to implement complex multi-faceted projects. Hines has extensive experience working with local governments and community groups to generate win-win developments for all parties involved. Hines recognizes that properly executed real estate, planned in conjunction with area stakeholders’ input, leads to a more integrated, engaged, and prosperous community. For One Vanderbilt, Hines, along with SL Green, worked with city officials to create a development program that included $220 million in public improvements for area transit facilities and open space. In Stamford, Hines worked with the City to create master plans for two separate large-scale projects that included public space improvements and work-force housing in connection with the development of significant commercial office projects. Hines works with only the best consultants. Long before the term “starchitect” was in vogue, Hines realized that partnering with the best design firms and other talented consultants was a critical way to de-risk a project and ensure success. In short, Hines believes that great design leads to even greater value. This ethos carries through in all of Hines’ project teams from planning firms to legal advisors, engineers and construction managers. The Hines New York Office has longstanding working relationships with the region’s best talent and would bring that to bear for the benefit of this project. Hines looks forward to the opportunity to work with the Village of Port Chester leaders to establish a best-in-class team, guiding the Master Development process from concept through to completion.
