Compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Members are reminded once again to recognise the ‘new normal’ in the way business will be conducted, especially on the need to strictly continue observing the COVID-19 precautionary measures stipulated in the SOP for operations. With these strict SOPs in place, employers would be able to ensure early detection of any abnormal cases, and have them tested and treated as well as provide contact tracing details of affected workers to the authorities. The Coordinator can be either the Safety and Health Officer (SHO), Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSH-C) or registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) listed in the Register of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP); or the Secretary of Safety and Health Committee at the workplace. Daily reporting on the compliance to the SOPs is required to be submitted via the following link: http://survey.dosh.gov.my/laporanhariancovid19/ The enforcement authorities including the respective Ministries and agencies will be on a nationwide enforcement operation to ensure strict compliance to the SOPs. COVID-19 Screening of Employees YB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) and Minister of Defence has announced today that the Government has made it mandatory for all foreign workers across the country to undergo the COVID-19 screening following a spike in COVID-19 positive cases amongst foreign workers in Ampang. The screening would first start with companies with foreign workers in Selangor and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile the Minister of Human Resources YB Datuk Seri M Saravanan via a news report on May 3, 2020 has urged all employers, especially those operating in red and yellow zones of Covid-19 infections to ensure their workers including local workers to undergo the screening under the SOCSO’s Prihatin Screening Programme (PSP). The Ministry of Human Resources has confirmed that the COVID-19 screening is provided FREE OF CHARGE for employees registered with SOCSO including foreign workers. Cost will be fully borne by SOCSO. The screening will be done by healthcare service providers selected by SOCSO. List of the healthcare service providers available nationwide can be accessed at the PSP PERKESO portal at: https://psp.perkeso.gov.my/psp-service-provider.html 3. Guide on Notification of Operations and Submission of Company Declaration via CIMS 3.0 Further to Member’s Advisory Update 29, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has updated this morning, for companies that have not submitted application to operate under the Movement Control Order (MCO) Phase 1, 2 and 3 may notify MITI on its operations effective May 4, 2020 by providing company information and declaring commitment to comply to the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This notification is not an application to operate and although submission is on a voluntary basis, companies are encouraged to file this notification and declaration as it indicates the commitment of the company to comply with the SOPs. The following are the steps for filing of the notification and declaration via the CIMS 3.0: i. Accessing the Notification Link: Companies can submit company information and declaration by May 12, 2020 via CIMS 3.0 at https://notification.miti.gov.my. Please note that companies that have applied to MITI via CIMS 2.0, regardless of the application results DO NOT need to submit the notification. ii. Create an Account: Identify a representative from your company to be the contact person and create an account with MITI iii. For notification with more than 10 locations, submit a new notification. c) Revenue – For the year of 2017, 2018 and 2019. d) Total number of workers – Key in details for “Jadual Pecahan Pekerja” and download the “Templat Muat Naik Senarai Pekerja” and fill required details before uploading. e) Specify Economic activity/cluster – Choose your specific sector and cluster from the dropdown menu. f) Submit declaration – This is a self-declaration that companies will commit and adhere to all the SOPs set by the authorities. iv. Final Submission: Please check and make sure all information is correct, then submit your notification. CIMS 3.0 will auto generate a letter containing a QR code. To access your submission, click on the corresponding “Papar” button. In the details page, click “Cetak Surat/ Print Letter” 4. MySejahtera Application MySejahtera is an application developed by the Malaysian Government to assist in monitoring COVID-19 outbreak in the country. It allows users to perform health self- assessment, assists users in getting treatment if they are infected with COVID-19 and locates nearest hospitals and clinics for COVID-19 screening and treatment.
