Reindeer Chow
You will need: Directions:
2 Large Bowls Line a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside. Wax or parchment paper Pour cereal into a large mixing bowl. Large plastic bag Spatula In a microwave safe bowl, add chocolate chips, peanut butter, and Ingredients: butter. Cook for one minute, then stir. If it’s not fully melted, put it back in the microwave for 30 seconds. 9 cups Chex Cereal (any variety) 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips When melted, add vanilla and mix. 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir with 1/4 cup butter a spatula until coated. (Don’t stir too much or your cereal will be 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract crushed.) 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 cup seasonal M&Ms Pour the powdered sugar into the large plastic bag. Add in the Optional add-ins: chocolate coated cereal and shake it up to cover the squares with sugar. Shake the bag to the beat of “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Small pretzel twists Reindeer” (or your favorite holiday song). Holiday sprinkles Peanuts, almonds, or other nuts Spread cereal on the baking sheet and let it cool down. Mini peanut butter cups Once cool, move to a bowl and mix in M&Ms and anything else you want to add!
