The 2018 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour continues with the starred classification of its events, with three five-star events, all of which are the Major Series, nine four-star events, six three- star events, seven two-star events, and 22 one-star events, along with the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals. One FIVB Age Group World Championships for players under the age of 19 will also be held. The 2018 World Tour began in September of 2017 in France and concludes in August in Germany. 2018 marks the 32nd anniversary of the first FIVB Beach Volleyball event held February 17-22, 1987 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Four events played in 2017: France (Montpellier), China (Qinzhou), Netherlands (Aalsmeer), and Australia (Sydney), are part of the 2018 FIVB World Tour. Four events held in August-October, 2018 in Hungary (Siofok), France (Montpellier), and China (Qinzhou and Yangzhou) will be part of the 2019 FIVB World Tour. · The double-gender $150,000 FIVB Tokyo Three Star is the 36th men’s and the 37th women’s event on the 2018 FIVB World Tour. The FIVB returns to Japan for the first time since a double-gender event in the 2015 season and the 23rd time overall. The eighth annual event started Wednesday (September 3) and concludes Sunday (September 7) at the Nivea Sun Nellowave facility in Brighton, England. SWATCH-FIVB JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - With the London 2012 Olympic Games in the future, Great Britain will host its first-ever international Beach Volleyball event. The gold medal teams at the 2008 SWATCH-FIVB Junior World Championships for players under the age of 21.will be rewarded a “wild card” by the FIVB for a future SWATCH FIVB World Tour event during the final two months of the 2008 season or during the 2009 campaign. BRIGHTON - Brighton will be the sixth European site to host the SWATCH-FIVB Junior World Championships. With a population of more than 250,000, Brighton is located 45 minutes from London on the south coast of England and is one of the most famous cities by the sea in the United Kingdom with over eight million tourists each year. So konnte die Schweizer Abwehr- spielerin den Nachteil als kleinste Akteurin dieser Gruppe durch Spielwitz und eine gute Feinmotorik kompensieren. Besonders ihr Oberes Zuspiel – auch unter Zeit- und Posi- tionsdruck – war stets präzise. Generell investierte sie viel Energie in die Vorbereitung ihrer Aktionen. Alle Spielhand- lungen erfolgten aus einer optimalen Position zum Ball und mit einer positiven Gelassenheit. Beim Angriff setzte sie zwei besondere Mittel ein, um sich gegen die Blockriesen zu behaupten: Sie nutzte das Block- anschlagen durch eine verzögerte Schlagbewegung und platzierte ihre Shots variantenreich und präzise in den Ecken. Außerdem agierte die kleine Schweizerin mutig. Im Spiel um Bronze traf sie zum Satzende einen Angriffsschlag nicht richtig und der Ball segelte in die Bande. Direkt danach fotos: fivb verwandelte sie den nächsten Angriff mit dem härtesten Schlag des Spiels zum Ausgleich. The 2018 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour continues with the starred classification of its events, with three five-star events, all of which are the Major Series, nine four-star events, six three-star events, seven two-star events, and 22 one-star events, along with the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals. One FIVB Age Group World Championships for players under the age of 19 will also be held. The 2018 World Tour began in September of 2017 in France and concludes in August in Germany. 2018 marks the 32nd anniversary of the first FIVB Beach Volleyball event held February 17-22, 1987 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Four events played in 2017: France (Montpellier), China (Qinzhou), Netherlands (Aalsmeer), and Australia (Sydney), are part of the 2018 FIVB World Tour. Four events held in August- October, 2018 in Hungary (Siofok), France (Montpellier), and China (Qinzhou and Yangzhou) will be part of the 2019 FIVB World Tour. · The double-gender $600,000 FIVB Gstaad Major is the 33rd men’s and the 32nd women’s event on the 2018 FIVB World Tour. The FIVB returns to Switzerland for the 19th-straight season and 19th in Gstaad.
