Precinct Updates in East Baton Rouge Parish Beginning with the upcoming elections this fall, several new precinct updates will be in place in East Baton Rouge Parish. These changes have been necessitated by legislative mandate due to population shifts, the loss of a few polling places and a few returns to existing locations. The information contained here details the changes as it might affect the voter. Some of the changes may entail: -A move of the voter’s location with the same assigned precinct. -A change of the voter’s assigned precinct within the same voting location. -A return to a previous location after a temporary relocation in past elections. Updated voter cards will be sent out by the Registrar of Voters; please contact this office if you have any questions or concerns about your registration. You may also check your current registration status at www.geauxvote.com. A newly created Ward 1 – Precinct 76 will absorb station’s renovations. some voters from this area according to address and will be housed at this same location. *For Voters in Ward 1 – Precinct 9* [Broadmoor Middle School at 1225 Sharp Road] *For Voters in Ward 1 – Precinct 105 A & B* Voters will be permanently relocated to Sherwood Middle [Lasalle Elementary School at 8000 Lasalle Avenue] School at 1020 Marlbrook Drive due to closure of Broadmoor Voters will see 105 A & B combined into one precinct with no Middle School. A/B split. A newly created Ward 1 – Precinct 79 will absorb some voters from this area according to address and will be *For Voters in Ward 1 – 52 A & B* housed at this same location. [Broadmoor Elementary School at 9650 Goodwood Boulevard] *For Voters in Ward 2 – Precinct 8 A & B* Voters will return to Broadmoor Elementary for the Fall 2019 [Gas Utility District Office at 10633 Zachary-Deerford Road] elections after being temporarily relocated to Broadmoor Voters will see 2 A & B combined into one precinct with no Baptist Church for its construction. A/B split. A newly created Ward 2 – Precinct 33 will absorb some voters from this area according to address and will be *For Voters in Ward 1 – 60 A & B* housed at this same location. Voters will see 18 A, B & C changed 18 A & B only. A newly created Ward 2 – Precinct 34 A & B will absorb some *For Voters in Ward 1 – Precinct 84 A & B* voters from this area according to address and will have a [BR University Prep School at 5300 Monarch Ave] new location: Copper Mill Elementary School at 1300 Voters will see 84 A & B combined into one precinct with no Independence Boulevard in Zachary. A/B split. A newly created Ward 1 – Precinct 11 will absorb some voters from this area according to address and will be *For Voters in Ward 2 – Precinct 21 A & B* housed at this same location. Community Recreational Center at 13900 S. Harrells Ferry A newly created Ward 2 – Precinct 36 A & B will absorb some Road. voters from this area according to address and will have a new location: Zachary Branch Library at 1900 Church Street *For Voters in Ward 1 – 90 A & B* in Zachary. [Episcopal High School at 3200 Woodland Ridge Boulevard] Voters will be permanently relocated to BREC Forest Park Community Recreational Center at 13900 S. Harrells Ferry [continued on back] Road. *For Voters in Ward 2 – Precinct 32 A & B* *For Voters in Ward 3 – Precinct 41 A & B* [Northwestern Middle School at 5200 East Central Avenue in [Jones Creek Library at 6222 Jones Creek Road] Zachary] Voters will see 41 A & B temporarily moved during Voters will see 32 A & B combined into one precinct with no renovations and will have a new location: Woodlawn Baptist A/B split.
