INSANE INFLATABLE 5K RACE SERIES LAUNCHES in EL PASO Portion of Race Proceeds to Benefit Local Charity El Paso, TX, February 11 INSANE INFLATABLE 5K RACE SERIES LAUNCHES IN EL PASO Portion Of Race Proceeds To Benefit Local Charity El Paso, TX, February 11, 2014 – The Insane Inflatable 5K, a new, dynamic race series made up of extreme inflatable obstacles and taking place in 16 cities across the United States, will launch in El Paso, Texas on April 19 and be presented by FirstLight Federal Credit Union, it was announced today by Stuart Kaul, Race Director, Insane Inflatable 5K. The Insane Inflatable 5k is designed to be accessible to everybody from competitive runners looking for a new challenge, to students looking for a cool competition, to people of all ages who want to be active and have a blast. The national tour will start in El Paso (see below for entire calendar) at the Maldonado Maze in Anthony, New Mexico, and incorporate the unique terrain of the venue in addition to the incredible obstacles over a course that is approximately 3 miles. The event will also give back to the community, and designate a portion of the proceeds from the race to a local charity. The 12 extreme obstacles combine imagination, creativity, and most importantly a large dose of fun coupled with a touch of insanity. The signature inflatables range in size and complexity, including “Pure Misery,” a 100 foot long obstacle testing strength, agility, flexibility and endurance, “Jump Around,” the largest inflatable of its kind with more than 70 feet of bouncing, and “Crazy Air,” the most awe-inspiring inflatable of the event where participants climb to the top of the steepest slide in the industry, slide down, and catch air off the lip at the bottom which launches up and out, ultimately landing on an inflatable pad (see below for a full list of obstacles and descriptions) In addition to the adult course for ages 14 and older, there will be a ½-mile long Junior Bouncers course for ages 7-13 to ensure the event is family friendly. Beyond the obstacles and the race, the Insane Inflatable 5k will also have a “Midway” where participants can enjoy more inflatables, music spun by DJs from local radio stations (KLAQ-FM, KSII-FM, and KROD-AM), food, beverages, merchandise, and swag from local vendors and sponsors. Registration fees, which include an event t-shirt and medal upon completion, range from $49 for advance registration to $75 for day of event registration. Junior Bouncers can register for $15. Each event will give back to the community, in which it is held, designating a portion of the proceeds of each local race to a non-profit organization. The race will not be timed, rather participants will start in waves that begin at 9:00 a.m., and run concurrently every half-hour until 1:30p.m. There will be two starting times for the kids’ course at 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. For more information about the Insane Inflatable 5k and to register, visit www.insaneinflatable5k.com. Competitors must bust on through four sets of doors without falling down.
