Fleet Report: Chicago

By Leif Sigmond It’s the time of year that we all cherish in Chicago – BOAT WORK TIME! There are precious few days left before the start of the racing season. Some of our Chicago T- 10’s are already in the harbor and others are due to arrive soon. This season promises to be exciting. For the first time in awhile we will be racing to Michigan City in the early part of the sea- son. This race was tradition for many years and we are happy to have it back as part of our boat of the year (“BOY”) port-to-port series. In addition, after a two year break, the second leg of the Tri-State (St. Joseph to Michigan City) will also be part of the BOY port-to-port series. The races included in the port-to-port series are as follows:

Our buoy BOY series will have eight races: In addition, we are predicting large atten- dance for the NOOD and Verve. We welcome out of town boats and en- courage participation for any of our races. Our summer schedule follows. If you have any interest in participating, please contact any of our local members.
