2.5. Diagnostic Notes **Adult**

Adult moderate size. Eyes haired, hairs short, shorter than antennal thickness; wings usually unpatterned or very obscurely so; forewing is pinkish buff, with a straight brownish streak running from the apex obliquely to the postmedial row of dots; vein CuA in the cell is delineated darkly, with the dark broadening at the discal end; lack of black border on the underside of the hindwing.

Colour off-white.

**Larva**

Body pattern longitudinally striped; segments A1-6 with seta L2 either not included on the dark lateral spiracular stripe, or abutting the ventral edge of the stripe; segments A1-6 with seta SD1 on a sclerotised (brown) pinaculum; segments T2, T3 with seta SD1 on a distinct circular pinaculum that includes on its lower margin a small pit; head capsule dorsally with pale area between the two longitudinal dark stripes conspicuously reticulate-patterned; mandibles with two teeth close together at middle of mandible margin; hypopharynx hind part with a line laterally of long, swordlike, dark upswept setulae.

**Pupa**

Brown, and formed under surface litter in the soil.
