Toilet The toilet flushes into a tank, bodily waste, water, toilet tissue and the specific toilet blue fluid should be flushed. All other items should be placed in the bin. DO NOT USE BLEACH OR OTHER CLEANING PRODUCTS. The tank will have enough capacity for your trip – if it is full please call us. Shower Hot water for the shower is produced when the engine or diesel heater runs, filling an on board tank.

River Thames – river restriction Kingston Reach Dittons Bend to the confluence of the River Mole Saturday 17 May 2014 – 08.30 to 19.30 Thames Ditton Regatta Directions for navigation and general information during this event: The Navigation channel shall be established on the Middlesex, Hampton Court side of the river. Racing boats will be using a buoyed channel on the Surrey, Thames Ditton side of the river. Regatta boards will mark the upstream and downstream extent of the course. Masters of all boats to maintain a safe speed and lookout between Thames Ditton Marina and Molesey Lock. All boats must be navigated in accordance with any instructions given from Environment Agency control points or patrol launches. Those in charge of boats should be aware that they are responsible for avoiding collision and should use all available means appropriate to the circumstances and conditions to decide if there is a risk of immediate danger and avoid it. Bathing is not allowed in the river on the course during the hours of racing. We endeavour to meet this commitment by following British Rowing’s Row Safe: A Guide to Good Practice in Rowing, and having a clearly communicated policy that is understood by members, coaches and others in positions of responsibility. Certificates of Competency and Watermanship All members, and at the end of any Learn to Row course, all participants must pass the Competency Test before moving past Improver Level. This will test their knowledge and practical application of rowing safety, use of the club’s boats and blades safely and awareness of the club’s Navigation Rules. In normal conditions (White Boards) all boats must have at least one experienced member on board who is capable of coaching the crew. In Yellow Board conditions only experienced members or improvers with the permission of a committee member are allowed onto the river. Further information on this aspect can be found in the Risk Assessment section: page 6. All members are encouraged to take and pass the Certificate of Watermanship: This will further test their boat handling skills, navigational knowledge and their abilities to conduct an appropriate risk assessment before boating. Swimming standards All rowers, including beginners, must be in good health and able to swim a minimum of 50 metres in light clothing.

ART HISTORY REVEALED Dr. Laurence Shafe This course is an eclectic wander through art history. It consists of twenty two-hour talks starting in September 2018 and the topics are largely taken from exhibitions held in London during 2018. The aim is not to provide a guide to the exhibition but to use it as a starting point to discuss the topics raised and to show the major art works. An exhibition often contains 100 to 200 art works but in each two-hour talk I will focus on the 20 to 30 major works and I will often add works not shown in the exhibition to illustrate a point. Fred became a rich man and in 1903 was able to buy the houseboat ‘Highland Lassie’ on Tagg’s Island.
