Lefty Jose Jimenez lowered his ERA to 1.42 (3 ER in 19.0 IP) with a scoreless 1.0 IP in securing his first save Saturday, while left-hander Brian Moran earned his first save with a run over 3.0 IP last night. Moran has a 2.08 ERA (6 ER in 26.0 IP) and has walked only three while striking out 30…he owns the league’s best walks/9.0 IP ratio at 1.04. Taylor-Made: Right-hander Taylor Stanton won for the third time in his last four outings Friday night, becoming the first LumberKings’ pitcher to reach five wins (5- 2). The lone outing over that span in which he didn’t win was on 5/18 at Burlington, when he pitched a scoreless ninth and locked down his first professional save. Seattle’s 26 th round pick out of Diablo Valley College in 2008, Stanton has allowed three earned runs over his last two starts (both quality starts), 15.0 innings for a 1.80 ERA. He’s not the only Taylor having success…Taylor Lewis has won all three of his starts since joining the club on 5/13 (3-0, 3.38 ERA, 6 ER in 16.0 IP, 6 BB, 5 K).

Long Time Coming: His win on 4/13 at Wisconsin marked his first as a pro following an 0-4 start over seven outings, four starts. Gillheeney was Clinton’s Opening Night starter on 4/8 against Peoria, but took the loss with five runs (three earned) in a 5-4 final.

’09 in Pulaski: Following the draft, Gillheeney spent the entirety of his first pro assignment with Pulaski. After two scoreless relief outings (3.2 IP), he moved into the rotation, going 0-3 with a 5.79 ERA over four outings. All three of his losses came over his final three starts of the year.
