Admission Requirements: Students who possess a 21 ACT or a 1060 SAT, have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average in a college prep curriculum, and are ranked in the top 50% of their class are generally admitted. The minimum high school requirements for admission are 4 units of English, 3 units of Math (including Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry,) 3 units of social sciences and history, 2 units of natural sciences with labs and 2 units of foreign language. Bellarmine also considers trends in grades, difficulty of curriculum, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, part-time work, special talents, awards and honors in determining admission.
Requirements and deadlines for competitive admission: Requirements for Honors Program: ACT of 28+ or SAT of 1310+ and a strong GPA serve as a baseline. Scholarship Requirements: 100% of Bellarmine Freshmen receive institutional scholarships and grants. A student's application for admission to Bellarmine also serves as their application for institutional awards. The Bellarmine Scholars scholarship: full tuition award with a study-abroad stipend. Deadline: December 1 and an essay with the topic "Describe an incident or situation in your life which piqued your intellectual curiosity" is required. There is an interview process.
