Section 2 provides'a list of additional sources of informationon foreign languages and cultures, with annotations describing the specific services available from these organizations. Section I listt each country under the language which is the principallanguage or one of the official languages of that country. This format should be helpful in providing information about the different cultures of people who speak acommon language. Section I also contains an alpha- betical listing Of embassies and consulates of countries where lesscommonly taught languages are spoken, Section II provides a list of additional sources of informationon foreign languages and cultures, with annotations describing the specific services availablefrom these organizations. The staff members of the embassies, consulates, and other officesare usually very willing to help by giving. information and cultural materials to teacherson request. It suggested that inquiries be made by teachers rather than by individual students,particularly at the embassies and consulates of smaller countries, in orderto avoid uverburdening their.
