James "Jim" Frederick Adie, s/o Dr. George Chandler Adie & Kennetha Winifred Berry (1896-1952), she is buried in Center Cemetery, Sheffield, Berkshire Co., MA. ‘Where There Is Love There Is Life’ Memorial services for Mr. James "Jim" Frederick Adie, 83, of Cookeville, were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009, from the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Perlongo officiating. Mr. Adie died Thursday, September 10, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Adie was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired manager with Work Lite in Florida, where he was a resident for over 50 years, making his home in Lake Clarke for 33 of those years. Born August 6, 1926 in Ann Arbor, MI, he was the son of the late Dr. George Chandler and Kennetha Winifred (Berry) Adie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Jean (Adie) Jones. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary (Woodbeck) Adie of Cookeville, whom he married August 9, 1952 in Great Barrington, MA; 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Bonnie and Bob Atchison of Hilham, Mary Ellen and Gene Hasemann of Lake Worth, FL, Kay Neinast and Gail Adie, both of Cookeville; 7 grandchildren, Megan Atchison, Christie Atchison, Michael Neinast, Melissa Burns and her husband, Rob, Amber Mattox, Stephanie Hasermann, Jessica Hasermann; and one great-grandchild, Blake Burns. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery in Algood. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today, Tues., June 8, at the funeral home. Mrs. Beason died on Mon., June 7, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical. She was born on Aug. 15, 1911, in Clay County to the late Andrew Jackson Stover and Mary Jane Murray. Mrs. Beason was a retired beautician and a member of Algood Church of Christ. Her family includes two daughters, Betty Wilmoth of Cookeville and Mildred McKee of Hermitage; two sisters, Mrytle Hawkins and Gladys Raines, both of Algood; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Beason; a son, Walter Beason Jr.; a daughter, Juanita Beason; and a grandson, Bobby Joe Wilmoth. Bros. COOKEVILLE-- Graveside services for Britteney Nicole Beaty, infant child of Ronnie Beaty and Tonya Walton of Cookeville, will be held tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at Phillips Cemetery. Beaty died on Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 11, 1999. In addition to her parents, her family includes grandparents, James (Pejib) and Debra Beaty of Cookeville and John and Tressa Johnson of Grandville; and great-grandparents, Edd and Mae Whittaker of Ohio and Floyd Harvey and Verble Johnson of Michigan. COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Mary Alice Terry Bennett, 80, of Knoxville, formerly of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home. Mrs. Bennett died on Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at Ft. Sanders Park West Hospital in Knoxville. She was born on Sept. 11, 1918, in Putnam County, to the late Talton and Clare Judd Terry. Mrs. Bennett was with US Rubber Co. for several years. Her family includes a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Bernadine Bennett of Canton, Mich.; a brother, Clark Terry of Filion, Mich.; two sisters, Christine Norris of Clinton and Frances Smith of Torrence, Calif.
