Each month the Governing Board recognizes Sun City West organizations and Recreation Centers of Sun City West employees for the wonderful ways they help the community.

Director Bryan Walus recognized the Encore Needle & Craft Club and presented a certifi- cate to Club President Melanie Parker, far left, for the club’s many charitable and commu- nity contributions/dona- tions, including Veteran’s Home & Hos- pital, the Salvation Army, Choice Preg- nancy Center, the American Cancer Soci- ety, Thompson Ranch and Riverview Schools (Dysart School District).

Governing Board Director Tim Hurley, right, presents a certificate to Freddie Celaya of the Landscape Department for his 38 years of dedi- cated service to the Recreation Centers of Sun City West. Freddie was honored at the December Governing Board meeting.

Secretary George Kuchtyak recog- nized and pre- sented certificates to both Griff Griffith of the Metal Club, left photo, and Otto Werner of the Gar- den Club for their exceptional club monitor perform- ance.
