Justin From: Celestine Jeffreys [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, November 02, 2020 4:24 PM To: Justin Linzmeier Subject: RE: continue to refrain from ticketing Excellent, thanks! So this is the amount you’d like reimbursed from the Election grant: I would recommend we are reimbursed for the percentage of meters that are not paid. 39 total meters at 10 hours a day for $.90 an hour=$351.00 a day of potential revenue. 22% of that is $77.22 a day. This would equate to $694.98 in lost revenue for the 9 days of early in person voting. That’s a lot of parking violations. If you break it down by the percentage of cars not paying it is roughly 22%. There are 45 total meters in this lot, I subtracted the 6 meters we hooded at no charge like always for voting. I would recommend we are reimbursed for the percentage of meters that are not paid. 39 total meters at 10 hours a day for $.90 an hour=$351.00 a day of potential revenue. 22% of that is $77.22 a day. This would equate to $694.98 in lost revenue for the 9 days of early in person voting. 7 This is not including any charges for not ticketing 400 Cherry, 200 N. Jefferson, and 200 N. Madison. As well as the voided citations from the first day of voting. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Justin Linzmeier, Superintendent City of Green Bay‐ Parking Division 519 S. Here are the early in‐person voting numbers for the last three days: 526 711 636 8 The last two days had an average wait time of about 15 minutes, but times as long as 45 minutes. I anticipate the changes the clerk’s office made will move voters quickly through the process, but I don’t want anyone to get a ticket, on top of everything. As we’d discussed, I’ll pay for the lost revenue, just give me a sense of what that would be. Thanks! I am reaching out regarding Green Bay's strategy to deal with the housing challenges resulting from COVID-19 and the steps that Green Bay is taking to put a proactive plan in place to solve these challenges. Our organization's work may be well-aligned with your strategy. We partner with local governments to enable a data-driven approach to efficiently direct limited resources, protect residents, address problem properties, and proactively track risk and impact. Here are a few of the ways we are assisting cities across the country with their COVID-19 housing strategy: Anti-Displacement - Using various risk factors to identify rental properties, owners, and tenants most at risk for evictions and displacement, we help you target Rent Assistance Programs. Foreclosure Prevention - We enable you to track the initial filing of a pre-foreclosure notice to give property-level early warning of an owner in financial difficulty. Cities are using this information to educate owners of their options during the foreclosure process, target mortgage assistance, and monitor for vacancy & “zombie” status. Vacancy and Tax Delinquency - We identify newly vacated properties allowing cities to better understand increase in tax delinquency and expenses related to the maintenance of those properties. Neighborhood Change - We help cities to closely monitor changing neighborhoods such as increases in property value, rising rents, spikes in foreclosures, crime, and vacancy. Our partner cities are able to track their changes and tailor housing strategies to market conditions and neighborhood health. 2 We felt it made sense to reach out and set up a brief call to learn more about your current efforts, share a bit more about how our partner cities are utilizing our services during this time and see if there are opportunities to collaborate. I will include my availability below. Please let me know what day and time will work best for us to connect.
