SUKKOT For forty years, as our ancestors traversed the Sinai Desert prior to their entry into the Holy Land, miraculous “clouds of glory” surrounded and hov- ered over them, shielding them from the dangers and discomforts of the desert. CHANUKAH The kindling of the Menorah is the focal point of the Chanukah holiday, symbolizing religious freedom and the strength of the Jewish spirit. The menorah is kindled on each of the eight nights of Chanukah, this year beginning on Sunday, December 2nd. The Menorah is placed at the left side of a central CHANUKAH FESTIVAL doorway of the home, or at the front window.
