The aim of the challenge is for youngsters to read six books over the summer holidays. It’s free, and there are lots of fun activities along the way. What’s more, kids who complete the challenge will be invited to Southsea Castle on Sunday 17 September to receive certificates and medals. This year’s theme is Animal Agents. It features artwork by Tony Ross, creator of the Little Princess, who has illustrated the Horrid Henry books as well as stories by David Walliams and Roald Dahl.
