After three games this season, the Hawks ratings on SportSouth are up 44% over the first three games of the 2013-14 season. Atlanta began the 2013-14 NBA with marquee matchups featuring Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, the Toronto Raptors and the Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers. This season’s home opening victory against the Indiana Pacers produced ratings that were 18% higher than last season’s home opener against Toronto. The average game rating for Wednesday’s thriller against the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week tied or exceeded all but six regular season Hawks games during the 2013-14 season.
