Nfl Gameday Week 20 NFL GAMEDAY WEEK 20 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS @ NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -1ST HALF STARS LIKE ANDREW LUCK CARRY TEAMS TO CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES – ONCE THERE, DEPTH MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. ALL THE COLTS GOT OUT OF ROLE PLAYERS LIKE BOOM HERRON AND JOSH CRIBBS WERE MISTAKES. WHILE THE COLTS LACKED DEPTH, THE PATRIOTS WERE DRIVEN BY IT. IN NOVEMBER, RUNNING BACK LEGARRETTE BLOUNT WAS WAIVED BY THE STEELERS. ON SUNDAY, HE LOOKED LIKE A STAR. THE REST OF THE PATRIOTS LOOKED PRETTY GOOD THEMSELVES, JUMPING OUT TO A 14 POINT LEAD. IN THE SECOND QUARTER THE COLTS BENT LIKE A HORSESHOE – BUT THE ONLY THING BROKEN WAS THE PATRIOTS’ MOMENTUM. LEAVE IT TO T.Y. HILTON TO TAKE CARE OF THE COLTS’ BALLS. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS @ NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS-2ND HALF FOR THIRTY MINUTES, THE COLTS HAD WEATHERED THE STORM. BUT IN FOXBORO MASSACHUSETTS, A SMALL SHOWER CAN TURN INTO A MONSOON. THE RAIN GREW HEAVIER. AS DID THE PATRIOTS RECEIVERS. (EDELMAN: “I LOVE THE SMELL OF FIREWORKS”) THIS SEASON, ANDREW LUCK HAS BEEN A MASTER OF LATE GAME PYROTECHNICS. LATE IN THE THIRD QUARTER, A SPARK WAS NEEDED. EITHER LUCK LIT THE FUSE OR THE COLTS SEASON WOULD BE SNUFFED OUT. IT’S THE NATURE OF CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY. SOME LEAVE FEELING THEIR AGE / SOME FEELING LIKE KIDS AGAIN. Page 1 of 3 GREEN BAY PACKERS @ SEATTLE SEAHAWKS- PRE GAME IF YOU WITHSTAND THE STORM, A MIRACLE CAN WASH AWAY ALL THAT CAME BEFORE IT. GREEN BAY PACKERS @ SEATTLE SEAHAWKS – 1ST HALF THE PACKERS DIDN’T APPEAR TO STAND A CHANCE./ AARON RODGERS HAD A TORN CALF AND THE SEAHAWKS HAD THE LEGION OF BOOM. TWICE THE PACKERS HAD 1st AND GOAL. TWICE THEY SETTLED FOR FIELD GOALS. THE PACKERS WERE NO PUSHOVER. IN THE FIRST HALF, RUSSELL WILSON TARGETED JERMAINE KEARSE THREE TIMES. // HE FELL VICTIM TO THREE INTERCEPTIONS, AND AN ILLEGAL HIT. GREEN BAY’S DOWNPOUR CONTINUED. THE PLAY WAS CALLED CHARLIE BROWN. JOHN RYAN PLAYED THE ROLE OF LUCY. GREEN BAY PACKERS @ SEATTLE SEAHAWKS – 2ND HALF AS THE 2ND HALF ROLLED ON, SEATTLE FINALLY BEGAN FEEDING ITS BEAST AND HE CHEWED OFF A COUPLE OF BEAUTIES. YET WHEN RUSSELL WILSON TARGETED JERMAINE KEARSE IT WAS STILL UGLY. FOR 56 MINUTES THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS HAD SEEMED HEXED. WHAT HAPPENED IN THE NEXT 2 MINUTES AND 19 SECONDS WAS EITHER MAGIC OR WITCHCRAFT. MARSHAWN LYNCH DOES NOT RUN. HE RUMBLES. AND HE SHOOK THE GROUND WITH A PERFECT 10 ON THE BEASTQUAKE SCALE. Page 2 of 3 IT TOOK THE LEADER OF THE PACK JUST ONE MINUTE TO TIE THINGS UP. RUSSELL WILSON HAD THROWN 5 PASSES TO JERMAINE KEARSE. FOUR HAD BEEN INTERCEPTED. WITH THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP AT STAKE, THE SEAHAWKS QUARTERBACK AUDIBLED TO HIM ONCE AGAIN. THIS WAS A DAY THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED FOREVER. THESE SEAHAWKS HAVE WON WITH BEASTQUAKES AND FAIL MARY’S AND IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP THIS CHARMED FRANCHISE AND THEIR CHARMED QUARTERBACK WON WITH A “KEARSE”. Page 3 of 3 .

  • An Introduction to BETRAYAL
An Introduction to BETRAYAL There are times in the life of any individual or organization when they are challenged by events entirely beyond their control. One such event happened in the life of our Goodwill that challenged us to our very core. That event was the fraud committed by Carol Braun. We take pride in our corporate values and our integrity. We were exposed and vulnerable. The real mark of an organization's strength is its capacity to weather the most difficult storms. I believe that "Betrayal" is a testament to the strength and integrity of our Goodwill. It is a living testament to our capacity to learn from our hardships and mistakes. The book has found its way to every corner of America and has served to comfort and inform others who have faced similar circumstances. This book is dedicated to the men and women of Goodwill, our "People". We are stronger, more resilient and more compassionate as a result of this experience. We hope that Betrayal will, in some small way, ease any personal or professional challenges the reader may face and we stand ready to help. NFC NOTES FOR USE AS DESIRED FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, 11/3/15 CONTACT: RANDALL LIU http://twitter.com/NFL345 TODD GURLEY: RUSHING INTO THE RECORD BOOK The St. Louis Rams selected running back TODD GURLEY in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Just five games into his NFL career, Gurley is already making his mark in the NFL’s record book. “Todd is a special player,” says Rams general manager LES SNEAD, who drafted Gurley with the 10th overall pick. Since making his first career start in Week 4 at Arizona, Gurley has registered at least 125 rushing yards in four consecutive games. He is the first rookie in NFL history to rush for at least 125 yards in four games in a row. “Guys like Todd come around once every 10 years,” says St. Louis head coach JEFF FISHER. “Look at his explosion and change of direction, plus his football instincts. He loves football. He loves his teammates. That’s what he’s all about. He’s about winning football games and trying to contribute.” A look at Gurley’s first four career starts: DATE WEEK OPPONENT ATT. YARDS AVG. OAKLAND RAIDERS vs. NEW YORK JETS Sunday, September 17, 2017 Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Postgame Quotes HEAD COACH JACK DEL RIO Opening Statement: “Alright, looked like our crowd had some fun. Good, solid day. It’s awesome to be 2-0, nice start to the season. I thought three phases, once again, contributed to the victory. Awesome to see. Offense gets six touchdowns and a field goal out of the 10 series. Explosive plays, no sacks, so good stuff there. Special teams contributed. Made all our kicks when we lined up for them. Got the turnover on that muffed at the end of the second quarter, which was a big way to end the half. Defense holds them to less than 300 and gets four sacks and forced a fumble. Good stuff. Obviously, always stuff to correct, but we’ll do that with a smile this week getting ready for Washington. Questions?” Q: What’s it like seeing Mario Edwards Jr. being able to start? Coach Del Rio: “Yeah, Mario has been healthy throughout the offseason, leading into this year. Had a real productive camp. He’s part of our strength up in the trenches. Mario is athletic, big physical guy. We’re definitely a better unit with him in the lineup.” Q: What did you see from Cordarrelle Patterson? Coach Del Rio: “Yeah, we’ve got some things for him. I think he’s an exciting football player. We’re happy to have him. That’s was an example of some of the things we think we can do with him.

  • Worst Play Calling in the History of Sports? Or Law?
www.lawvision.com Worst Play Calling in the History of Sports? Or Law? By Joseph B. Altonji on February 4, 2015 As I write this less than 24 hours after the stunning end of Super Bowl XLIX, the consensus has completely firmed: Seattle’s decision to throw the ball on the one yard line, with three downs and enough time for Marshawn Lynch to make that final yard was the worst play calling in the history of the Super Bowl and probably of all time in any sport. It erased the miracle of Jermaine Kearse’s reception only moments earlier to set up the Seattle win – which never happened. The Seahawks had a well-fought LawVision INSIGHTS game won… they just had to finish it. This one will be remembered for a long while. Blog So, what does this have to do with the business of law? A lot, actually, on multiple levels: First, the obvious. A lot of good work can be undone by one or a few colossal mistakes. We’ve seen examples over the past few years of law firms coming undone, and once the details get out you can’t help but ask, “What were they thinking?” Building a major firm with little or no capital? Providing high-profile laterals with huge guarantees? Fudging the numbers? But there is nothing new about law firm leaders blowing the call – those who have been around long enough will remember the ill-fated, culturally disastrous merger of Chicago’s Isham Lincoln & Beale with Ruben & Proctor in 1986. The deal still ranks as one of the worst legal merger decisions ever made, and the combined firm lasted less than two years.

The Seahawks or Super Bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks (SuperHawks) It took only thirty-eight years but we finally made it. The Seattle Seahawks have ended their drought and have won their first ever Super Bowl Championship in franchise history. The Seahawks began their inception to the NFL in 1976. The Seahawks originally played their games in the historic know blown up Kingdome and were part of the AFC West. The Hawks are the only team to have played in the AFC and NFC Championships. Four NFL Hall of Famers have come from the Seahawks, which include Steve Largent, Cortez Kennedy, Warren Moon, and Walter Jones. The Seahawks have won the eight division titles and two NFC Championships in 2005-2006 and this season in 2013-14. The first time the Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl the Pittsburgh Steelers trounced them in 2006. The final score to that game (Super Bowl XL) was 21-10 in favor of the Steelers. The loss to the Steelers was devastating to the city of Seattle, and it proved the fact that every major Seattle team collapses in the big game. The other major sports team to have won a Championship title was the Seattle Sonics in 1979, but since then they have been relocated to Oklahoma City and are now the Thunder.
