InfoSpace Appoints Jules Haimovitz to Board of Directors

BELLEVUE, WA, Oct 24, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSP) today announced the appointment of film and television industry veteran Jules Haimovitz to the Company's Board of Directors, further bolstering its position as the leader in mobile entertainment.

Jules Haimovitz is the Vice-Chairman and Managing Partner of Dick Clark Productions. Prior to Dick Clark Productions, Mr. Haimovitz held the position of President of MGM Networks, where he was responsible for the formation and oversight of MGM networks worldwide, as well as the maximization of revenues generated by the vast MGM film library.

Prior to MGM, Mr. Haimovitz served as President and Chief Operating Officer at King World Productions Inc. Jules came to King World from ITC Entertainment Group, where held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to ITC Entertainment Group, Mr. Haimovitz was President and Chief Operating Officer of Spelling Entertainment Inc. During his tenure, Mr. Haimovitz oversaw the revitalization of Spelling's creative base through the development of such prime time television series as "Twin Peaks" and "Beverly Hills, 90210," as well as the production of feature films "Pet Semetary" and "."

Mr. Haimovitz joined Aaron Spelling Productions following a lengthy association with International Inc. While at Viacom, Mr. Haimovitz served in various senior executive capacities including that of President of the Viacom Network Group, with responsibility for Showtime/The Movie Channel Inc., the MTV Networks Inc., Lifetime Cable Channel and Viewer Choice, Viacom's satellite pay-per-view network. Mr. Haimovitz also served as President of the Viacom Entertainment Group, with responsibility for Viacom Enterprises, Viacom Worldwide Distribution Company, Viacom Productions and Viacom's position in Orion Pictures Corp.
