WELCOME to Dragon Boat International, the IDBF in-house magazine. The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Association and the IDBF are pleased to announce a title sponsor for this year’s 8th Club Crew World Championships in Hong Kong, the staging of which from 4 th -8th July 2012, marks the 21 st Anniversary of the IDBF’s foundation in Hong Kong in 1991. The sponsor is Lee Kum Kee (LKK) a very reputable sauce manufacturer headquartered in Hong Kong with products distributed on a global basis. LKK had a long history of supporting dragon boat racing not only in Hong Kong but in a number of major cities, like Tokyo, Osaka, Guangzhou, Toronto, New York. Lee Kum Kee was established in 1888 when its founder Mr Lee Kum Sheung invented oyster sauce in the Guangdong Prov- ince of China. With a manufacturing history of 123 years, Lee Kum Kee has become a household name as an ethnic Chinese enter- prise as well as an international brand and a symbol of quality and trust. The Corporate Support Centre of Lee Kum Kee is set up in Hong Kong and has 5 production bases in Xinhui, Huangpu, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Los Angeles. Lee Kum Kee Group has become a globally renowned ethnic Chinese enterprise spanning three centuries. It provides over 220 choices of sauces and condiments to over 100 countries and regions across the five continents. We believe LKK can be a very good strategic partner for not only the 8th CCWC but also IDBF's events in future.
