Overview Transgender Educational Speaker, International, 2002-Present ‣ Create and deliver presentations across industries that demystify trans and non-binary gender diversity, simply and powerfully, within an intersectional framework of race/ethnicity, class, disability, and culture. ‣ Collaborate with individuals and teams through bespoke trainings that lay a foundation of understanding of transgender and non-binary cultural sensitivity, with best practices tailored to existing policies. ‣ Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of (trans)gender issues in the public consciousness, up-to- date terminology, and culturally-sensitive communication. Synthesize them into easy-to-understand, historically-rooted analysis of transgender culture for use in formal and informal communications. ‣ Appear in and curate engaging content through traditional and social media to promote positive, accessible trans and non-binary visibility. ‣ Work with youth to inspire them to lead conversations impacting their lives, empowered with social justice tools and, most importantly, self-esteem. Impact ‣ Worked with major universities and Fortune 50 corporations to create effective non-discrimination policies, and design modes of institutional support (ex, health insurance guidelines, action flowchart for in-place gender changes). ‣ “Ending Gender” TED Talk (2013) was a globally-utilized tool for teaching transgender awareness and sensitivity. ‣ In partnership with the City of Santa Monica, Created e-Course for accommodating gender diversity in restroom and changing facilities, Everybody Changes, now used nationwide.
