Wild Adventures Debuts Ohana Bay And Celebrates Passholders this Saturday

Valdosta, GA – Wild Adventures Theme Park premiers the new Ohana Bay addition to its Splash Island Water Park this Saturday, April 1. The park will also recognize its loyal season passholders with a special concert by country music artist on Saturday night.

Ohana Bay, which is Hawaiian for family, officially opens Saturday with a ribbon- cutting ceremony at 11:30 AM. The new area adds seven additional slides, more than 150 beach seats, a family restroom and fun water features to the already guest- favorite Splash Island Water Park.

The Passholder Appreciation Concert, featuring John Michael Montgomery, begins in the All-Star Amphitheater at 8 PM. To show appreciation for season passholders, free reserved seats will be available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 9 AM. Montgomery is best known for his country favorites including “Life’s A Dance,” “,” “I Love the Way You Love Me” and “Be My Baby Tonight.”

“Splash Island is a very popular part of Wild Adventures, especially as we approach our warm summers here in south Georgia,” General Manager Molly Deese said. “Families have asked for more water attractions for children of different ages as well as additional lounging space within Splash Island. Ohana Bay was designed in response to these requests.”

“We are sure Ohana Bay will become a favorite spot for our wonderful season pass holders which is why we scheduled our season pass appreciation concert with John Michael Montgomery on the same day as its grand opening,” added Deese.

Ohana Bay joins Splash Island’s popular wave pool, meandering lazy river, towering thrill slides, private cabanas and spots to just sit and relax under huge umbrellas.

Splash Island and Ohana Bay will be open on weekends only through May 20 when it goes to daily summer operation. Wild Adventures Theme Park is open daily March 30 through April 9 for Spring Break; Friday thru Sunday April 14-30; Thursday thru Sunday May 4-14; and daily beginning May 20. The park is closed Easter Sunday, April 16.
