SUSTAINABLE SUPERSONIC FLIGHT

Located in Melbourne, Florida home to the pioneers of space exploration and amongst a growing cluster of cutting-edge aerospace and technology companies, Aerion Park is our new home. Serving as a new global headquarters and integrated campus for research, design, production and support of Aerion’s supersonic aircraft, Aerion Park is the global hub of sustainable supersonic transportation.

▶ Aerion Park spans more than 110 acres and will enable assembly, flight test, completion and delivery of AS2s – welcoming customers via the adjoining Orlando Melbourne Airport taxiway. ▶ Representing a capital investment of more than $300m in construction, machinery and equipment – Aerion Park will bring at least 675 new jobs in Florida by 2026. ▶ The campus is planned to be powered by clean energy – using the very latest in photovoltaic solar technology to generate energy for manufacturing. On-site electric vehicle charging stations will also be installed and rainwater that lands on the campus reused. Recycled materials will be used in construction wherever possible, sourced locally to minimize 7 | AERION MEDIA KIT emissions and the Park will be dedicated to creating zero waste. ▶ The Park will incorporate buildings spanning some two million sq. ft, including a vast aircraft assembly facility which is the equivalent size of fourteen football fields, plus a systems integration laboratory which will house the AS2 ‘Iron Bird’. Also included on the site will be engineering flight test headquarters. AERION AS2 TIMELINE

2027 Using a combination of digital AS2 ENTRY INTO SERVICE modelling and aerodynamic optimization tools developed in-house, the need for a demonstrator aircraft is negated and allows Aerion to accelerate the AS2 program towards 2025 build of a production-specification AS2 FIRST FLIGHT aircraft in 2023. The manufacture of 300 AS2 aircraft is planned for the first decade of production.
