NOw after the sabbath, to- ward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulcher. And behold, there was a great earth- quake; for an angel of the Lord descend- ed from heaven and came and rolled back the stone, and sat upon it. His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and be- hold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. Lo, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell the disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Hail!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” Mathew 28:1

White Cliffs under construction News With Mary Crosslin

Mount Zion will have Easter worship service on Sunday morn- ing at 11 a.m. Rev. Germany will bring the Easter sermon on the Resurrection of Christ. Everyone is invited to come and share in the most celebrated Christian Day in Christendom. Everyone in the area is doing ok. There were no emergencies in the community this week. Prayers are requested for the seniors. I went to the White Cliffs Recreation Center on Saturday evening and talked with a few people, one family fishing from Ashdown for the first time in thirty years. They found the facility to be good. There have been some changes made lately to accommodate the visitors and make their visit more comfortable. They have an attendant to make sure overnighters pay a small fee, several new brick toilets have been built and a playground for the children. Plenty of water is available. So, one’s visit should be pleasant. I also talked to Ms. Tony Pickett from Springdale. She and her family have just recently moved to the area to attend college. They were looking for places of recreation for their family, and were enjoying the area. Happy birthday to all of the April people: Leader Pearl Piggee, Goldie Wilson, Dana Greenlee, Berty Wilson, Irene Hendrix, Mary Crosslin. Angela Wilson, and Raymond Graves. You know you are all great! Christian Refresher: Matt: 27: 17,20·-23,26,35,37,38·59,60, Matt. 28: 1,2,5,6,7,8 Word Study Bible. Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? But the chief priest and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. Pilate saith unto them. What shall I do then with Jesus which is called the Christ? They all say unto him, LET HIM BE CRUCIFIED. And the gover- nor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out more, saying, Let him he crucified. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to he crucified. And they crucified him and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, they parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And set up over his head his accusation written: This is Jesus the King of the Jews. Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth. And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and rolled a great stone to the door of the sepul- cher and departed in the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it.
