• II IMPORTANT MATTERS BEFORE BOARD II

The final pre·summer Directors meeting of GOLD KEY will be held in the form of a luncheon at the Lauderdale Yacht Club at noon, Thursday, June 5. MAY MEETING Regular Directors Meeting activities for May (Thursday, ) were deferred so that the GOLO KEY officers could sit in on a most successful larger meeting staged at the same time with the Trustees of the Joseph Osswald Estate- Messers. Dale Dunifon, Arthur Madsen and Attorney William Morse. President Young acted as master of ceremonies for the Osswald luncheon. Impressive reports were made by Dr. Joel Warren of Life Sciences. on the Cancer Research ( Center now being completed in the Louis W. Parker Physical Sciences Center, and by Professor Charles Yentsch of the Oceanographic Department of the University. Present were: Mr Dale Dumton, Bill Morse, Art Madsen, Foy B. Fleming, Robert O. Barber, John Matchette, Dr. Joel Warren, Dwight L. Rogers, Russell French, Gregory Barry, James Farquhar, Stanley A. Emerson, William Horvitz, John Monson, Edward J. Marko, James H. YACHT GIFTS The luxury yacht, the Moonson V, given to the University by John Monson, was acquired by Mr. Matchette. Mr. Brodhead, of the active University Yacht Acquisition Program, advises that to date 30 boats of varying sizes have been contributed to Nova, from runabouts to 100·foot luxury yachts. It is reported to be a desired tax advantage on donations of these yachts, some of which are used by the University in the School of Oceanography. In other instances, they are sold and the money is used for University purposes. Six fine boats, the last acquired on , a 50-foot diesel yacht, have been acquired since April 1. It has been suggested that any GOLD KEY members who know of any potential yacht donors be requested to contact Nova University Development Office. •
