Microsoft® Office Web Apps give you the tools to extend your Microsoft Office experience to the web and get things done on your terms. These convenient online companions to Microsoft Word, Excel®, PowerPoint®, and OneNote® provide an easy way to view, edit, and share your files right from a web browser.1 Work in a familiar editing environment, using features that you already know. Easily work together with people in multiple locations, regardless of what Microsoft Office version is installed on their computers or if Microsoft Office is not installed. View your files in high-fidelity and edit them with confidence. Welcome to Office Web Apps—the perfect web-based companions to Microsoft Office 2010. 1 Office Web Apps require an appropriate device, Internet connection, supported web browser, and either Microsoft SharePoint® Foundation 2010 for business or, for personal use, a free Windows Live ID to access Office Web Apps on Windows Live™ SkyDrive™. There are some differences between the features of Office Web Apps and the Office 2010 applications. 4 Office Web Apps: At-a-Glance Never be without the tools you need You’re away from your home or office and away from your computer. You are about to give a presentation when critical new customer data comes in. Or perhaps you’re turning in an important paper when inspiration strikes. What do you do when you discover that the only computer available does not have Microsoft Office installed? Just open the file in your web browser. Office Web Apps helps you get things done virtually whenever, wherever. Post the content that you create in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote on your desktop to a Microsoft SharePoint® 2010 site or a Windows Live™ SkyDrive™ folder. Then access, view, edit, and share those files from almost any computer with an Internet connection. You can even access and view Word, Excel and PowerPoint content from a browser on your mobile device.2 What you see is what you get You spend time to make all of the content you create look its best. Wouldn’t you like to know that those who view your documents, presentations, workbooks and notebooks will see what you want them to see? Office Web Apps provide professional-quality, high-fidelity viewing of your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files. Take advantage of the rich features in Microsoft Office on your desktop to create incredible content and then share those files online with great document fidelity and consistent formatting.3 2 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files can be viewed using Office Web Apps on many devices. Supported mobile viewers for Office Web Apps on SharePoint 2010 include Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile 5/6/6.1/6.5, Safari 4 on iPhone 3G and 3GS, BlackBerry 4.x and later, Nokia S60, NetFront 3.4, 3.5 and later, Opera Mobile 8.65 and later, Openwave 6.2, 7.0 and later. Supported mobile viewers for Office Web Apps on SkyDrive include Safari 4 on iPhone 3G and 3GS and Internet Explorer 7 on the upcoming Windows Phone 7. Viewing Excel files via a mobile browser is currently only available with Office Web Apps on SharePoint 2010. 3 Microsoft Silverlight™ is not required—but is recommended for best results—when viewing PowerPoint and Word documents in Office Web Apps. 5 Edit your content with confidence When you create documents using Microsoft Office on your desktop, your files might include many types of rich content and advanced features to add impact to your important information —such

Unix command line; editors Karl Broman Biostatistics & Medical Informatics, UW–Madison kbroman.org github.com/kbroman @kwbroman Course web: kbroman.org/AdvData My goal in this lecture is to convince you that (a) command-line-based tools are the things to focus on, (b) you need to choose a powerful, universal text editor (you’ll use it a lot), (c) you want to be comfortable and skilled with each. For your work to be reproducible, it needs to be code-based; don’t touch that mouse! Windows vs. Mac OSX vs. Linux Remote vs. Not 2 The Windows operating system is not very programmer-friendly. Mac OSX isn’t either, but under the hood, it’s just unix. Don’t touch the mouse! Open a terminal window and start typing. I do most of my work directly on my desktop or laptop. You might prefer to work remotely on a server, instead. But I can’t stand having any lag in looking at graphics. If you use Windows... Consider Git Bash (or Cygwin) or turn on the Windows subsystem for linux 3 Cygwin is an effort to get Unix command-line tools in Windows. Git Bash combines git (for version control) and bash (the unix shell); it’s simpler to deal with than Cygwin. Linux is now accessible in Windows 10, but you have to enable it. If you use a Mac... Consider Homebrew and iTerm2 Also the XCode command line tools 4 Homebrew is a packaging system; iTerm2 is a Terminal replacement. The XCode command line tools are a must for most unixy things on a Mac.

Chapter 9 FORENSIC ANALYSIS OF THE SONY PLAYSTATION PORTABLE Scott Conrad, Carlos Rodriguez, Chris Marberry and Philip Craiger Abstract The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a popular portable gaming device with features such as wireless Internet access and image, music and movie playback. As with most systems built around a processor and storage, the PSP can be used for purposes other than it was originally intended – legal as well as illegal. This paper discusses the features of the PSP browser and suggests best practices for extracting digital evidence. Keywords: Sony PlayStation Portable, forensic analysis 1. Introduction The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a popular portable video game system that has additional multimedia and Internet-related capa- bilities. Originally released in 2004, the PSP features a 4.3” widescreen LCD with 480×272 pixel resolution. It comes with a dual core 222 MHz R4000 CPU, 32 MB RAM and 4 MB of embedded DRAM, which holds the operating system [6]. The PSP uses a proprietary Universal Me- dia Disk (UMD) as its primary read-only storage media for games and movies. The device also features 802.11b Wi-Fi connectivity for multi- player games and utilizes a Pro Duo memory stick for secondary storage. In September 2007, Sony released a new version of the PSP that is 33% lighter and 19% thinner, appropriately dubbed the PSP Slim & Lite. The Slim & Lite version caches UMD data in memory to decrease game loading time and provides additional features such as a brighter screen, composite TV output, charging via USB and double the onboard RAM (64 MB) [8].
