QUOTES:

James Calado, qualifying and starting driver No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTLM: After first stint: “My first stint was good. I got a good start and maintained the lead, which was good. We managed the tires and the fuel a little bit but we saw some blistering on the tires towards the end of the stint so we pit a little early, but we continue to lead. We still have a long way to go.”

After second stint: “The track has undergone some surface updates since last year, which has significantly increased grip and wear on the tires. With our optimized set-up, we’ve got some tire blistering issues, which is costing us some performance. We’re trying to deal with it until the temperatures come down and we hope our tire life will become better. The Fords are really quick so we need to keep pushing.”

Alessandro Pier Guidi, driver No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTLM: After first stint: “The race is going pretty well for us. We are still P1 when I stopped. We are in the window and the car is good. We are keeping an eye on tire management as that will be the key to this race, at least until the night when the temperatures drop. My first stint went quite well but it’s still a long race.”

After second stint: Race Public Relations “Everything was quite good in my second stint. I was chasing the two Fords and Barbara J. Burns the pace was quite good. With the lower temperature it is getting better, so we BurnsGroup PR [email protected] hope for the night we are okay. So far so good!” Tel: +1 770 329 7134

Daniel Serra, driver, No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTLM: Risi Competizione After first stint: Anna Lenzi [email protected] “Our race has been more about managing the tires. It was quite hard and also for the previous two stints from James and Ale that we were struggling a bit 6100 Southwest Freeway with degradation. Perhaps our set up with the heat is generating high tire wear. Houston, Texas USA 77057 Tel: +1 713 772 3868 So, we were trying some different stuff on my stint. We are still there though. www.risicompetizione.com

We have to survive until the night and then it will be cooler and better for us.”
