2. Any club wishing to lodge a protest must send it by registered post to the Hon. Secretary of the Cork Athletic Union Football League within four (4) days (Saturday’s, Sunday’s and Bank Holidays excluded) of the date of the match and must be accompanied by the appropriate fee, payable only by Postal Order or Money Order (cash or cheque will rule the protest out of order). An exact copy of the protest must be forwarded by registered letter to the secretary of the club protested against.

3. Clubs, players or member of clubs dissatisfied with the decisions of the Cork Athletic Union Football League shall have the right to appeal to the Munster Football Association against such decisions. Any such appeal must be forwarded to the Administrator/Hon. Secretary of the Munster Football Association per registered letter bearing postmark, within four (4) days of the date (Saturday’s, Sunday’s and Bank Holidays excluded) on which notice was sent to the appellant and must be accompanied by the appropriate fee payable only by Postal Order or Money Order (cash or cheque will rule the appeal out of order). CORK ATHLETIC UNION FOOTBALL LEAGUE - RULES

CORK ATHLETIC UNION FOOTBALL LEAGUE RULES 2018/19 1. Title a) This amalgamation of clubs shall be called "The Cork Athletic Union Football League" and shall consist of clubs affiliated to the Football Association of Ireland and the Munster Football Association. b) Where reference is made in these rules to the masculine it shall also infer the feminine and vice versa. 2. Objects The objects to which the league is established are to promote, foster and develop the game of Association Football and to take all such steps as may be deemed necessary or advisable for preventing infringements of the rules of the game. 3. Management Committee a) The management committee to conduct the business of the league shall consist of thirteen (13) members maximum to be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Any honorary officer or a member of the management committee who absents himself/herself from three (3) consecutive meetings without satisfactory explanation shall be deemed to have resigned. In the event of a vacancy occurring on the management committee the remaining members shall have the power to fill same by co-option. 4. Annual General Meeting a) The AGM shall be held not later than June each year. b) Each team in membership shall be entitled to one representative. c) The business of the AGM shall be to receive the Annual Report and statement of accounts, to elect Hon. President and Hon. Vice-President(s) and management committee and such business as appears on the agenda. d) Fifteen (15) club representatives to form a quorum. e) A special general meeting will be called if requested by not less than twenty (20) clubs. f) This request must be signed by the club secretaries and sent by registered post to the secretary of the league. g) On receipt the special general meeting must be held within twenty-one (21) days. Fifteen (15) club representatives to form a quorum. h) The items of business of the meeting shall be clearly stated in writing by the secretaries requesting the Special General Meeting and those will be the only items to be discussed, unless the management committee decide otherwise prior to the start of the meeting 5. Eligibility for Election a) No person not being a retiring Hon. Officer or committee member, co-opted member, President or Vice-President shall be eligible for election unless he/she has, not later than the 1st May in each year, sent by registered letter to the Hon. Secretary of the League, a notice in writing signifying his candidature giving the names and addresses of his proposer and seconder, who shall be Hon. Secretary’s of clubs in membership of the League. b) The candidate, his proposer and seconder shall sign the notice. 6. Election of Officers a) The management committee shall at their first meeting after the AGM, to be held not later than July, elect from their number a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman to act for the season.

b) The Chairman or in his/her absence the Vice-Chairman, shall preside at all meetings of the League at which he/she is present and shall conduct the business in accordance with the ordinary rules of procedure of which he/she shall be judge. c) The management committee shall appoint all sub-committees they may consider necessary and may delegate any or all of its powers to such committees. d) In all matters the Chairman will have a casting vote as well as a deliberate vote. e) Management Committee will hold meetings as they deem necessary, the night to be appointed by them. f) Two days notice must be given to members of management committee for special meetings. g) No member of the management committee may sit on the management committee of another League without the express permission of the management committee of the Cork Athletic Union Football League. 7. Annual Subscription a) The annual subscription to the league shall be decided by the management committee and passed by the Annual General Meeting each year and this subscription will be payable with a club’s application. Fees will be returned to clubs not accepted. b) The management committee shall have the right to accept or reject any application for membership. c) All clubs seeking admission/readmission to membership of the league must provide a ground, with dressing facilities for the referee and their opponents, over which it shall have sole control on match days. d) Clubs wishing to remain in the League and those seeking admission must make a formal application on a form provided by the League, not later than seven (7) days after the Annual General Meeting each year. e) All clubs seeking admission that are members of another League, must have a Clearance Certificate/Club Transfer form on or before 1 May in any year. f) Clubs who have failed to submit an application for membership by 31 July each year will become subject to a late entry fee. The management committee will decide this fee. g) All clubs that become members of the League must have current Public Liability Insurance and the Cork Athletic Union Football League and its officers must be indemnified against any and all claims arising against the club on this Public Liability Insurance Certificate. h) All clubs must produce proof of Public Liability Insurance renewal to the League on the day of such Insurance becoming due for renewal. A letter from your broker, a photocopy of the Policy document together with a photocopy of the receipt shall constitute proof under this rule. i) Clubs failing to provide documentary proof as requested will leave themselves open to disciplinary action by the Management Committee which will result in fixtures being cancelled and these games awarded to their opponents as well as any other such penalties as the Management Committee may deem appropriate. These games will also be treated as walk-over’s. j) All clubs who are admitted to membership of the Cork Athletic Union Football League must provide a current working email address with their Application for Membership. 8. Duties of the Hon. Secretary a) All correspondence should be addressed to the Hon. Secretary who shall conduct the correspondence of the League. 9. Duties of the Hon. Registrar a) The Hon. Registrar shall receive all documents/electronic files in connection with the registration and transfer of players and shall keep a full record of all registrations.

b) A player is a bona fide member of the club he first signs for and is registered/allocated to that club on FAINet by the Hon. Registrar of the League. c) Each team can register a panel of players electronically on FAINet with the Cork Athletic Union Football League and only players whose registration has been approved by the Hon. Registrar on FAINet may play for a club. Only players that are registered with the Cork Athletic Union Football League may participate in games organised by this League. From season 2018/19 onwards, all registration/transfer of players shall be via FAINet only. d) A player is eligible for a match if his registration has been approved on FAINet by the Hon. Registrar of the Cork Athletic Union Football League at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the official kick off time for league and cup games. For the purpose of this rule, in order to be eligible for a league game on a Saturday, the registration must be approved by on FAINet by the Hon. Registrar of the Cork Athletic Union Football League on the Thursday prior to the game at the latest in order to be eligible to play. If the game is on a Sunday, the registration must be approved by the Hon. Registrar of the Cork Athletic Union Football League on the Friday prior to the game at the latest in order to be eligible to play. The same applies for mid-week games. e) All players must be registered with the League on FAINet. A bona-fide player of a club is one whose registration has been approved on FAINet by the Hon. Registrar of the League and has paid the appropriate registration fee, duly witnessed by the Club Secretary and lodged with the League at least forty-eight (48) hours before kick-off for league and cup games. All players must be registered by their club on FAINet with the Cork Athletic Union Football League and approved by the Hon. Registrar of the League on FAINet to be eligible to compete in matches organised by this League as per the rules of the Cork Athletic Union Football League. f) The registration date on FAINet will be the official date of registration. A player is eligible for a league or cup match if his registration has been examined and approved on FAINet by the Hon. Registrar of this League g) In cup competitions, eligibility will be as per eligibility for league games above. h) In the event of a player signing for different clubs, within or outside of this League, the date of registration on FAINet shall decide as to which club the player belongs. i) League registrations accepted only during the period from the date of the first management meeting to the following 31 March. j) Non-amateur players engaged by clubs in membership of the League shall be subject to the rules and regulations as regard such players laid down by the Football Association of Ireland. k) A bona fide representative of a club may have access to all documents regarding registrations on Monday nights at the Hon. Registrar's home between 7.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m., €10 to be paid for each team register inspected. l) In the event of a protest, the club protested against shall be afforded an opportunity on Wednesday nights at the same time, under the same conditions, to inspect the documents. In the case of mid-week games, special arrangements will be made. m) Any player that agrees to be registered in the Cork Athletic Union Football League shall be bound by the rules of this organistion. 10. Club Officials a) Each club shall forward to the Hon. Secretary of the League the name and address of its Hon. Secretary and of three (3) solvent members; its representative to the league meetings; its distinguishing colours; also situation of dressing rooms and ground, stating whether it is public or private. b) Clubs shall be required to keep minutes of meetings showing the names and dates of election of new members etc.

11. Fixtures a) No club shall have power to break or postpone a fixture without the prior consent of the Fixture Secretary. b) Clubs failing to fulfil a fixture must attend the next immediate management committee meeting or submit a written explanation and satisfy the committee they had made every effort to fulfil the fixture. c) Failure to comply with this rule may result in the club being expelled from the league and the points being awarded to their opponents. d) Any club adjudged to have given a walkover will be fined by the management committee with a minimum of €150 to apply. e) Provided the game is not awarded, an amount, to be decided by the management committee, will be remitted to their opponents to cover expenses. f) If a match has been stopped by the referee before the completion of the time specified in the rules, for any reason stated in Law V, it must be replayed in full unless the rules of the competition concerned provide for the result at the time of such stoppage to stand. g) Thirteen days notice in writing must be given to the Fixtures Secretary by clubs seeking free weekends or on any other matters dealing with fixtures. h) Emergency committee shall consist of the Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Fixtures Secretary. i) Grounds must be properly marked to the specifications of the FAI; dry lime not acceptable. j) Each club must provide two good match balls on match day. 12. Club Colours a) Each club on entering the league shall register its colours with the Hon. Secretary. Goalkeepers must wear colours that distinguish them from other players. b) In the event of two clubs meeting whose registered colours are the same, the home team must change. All team jerseys must be numbered. c) In test games, semi-finals and finals the younger of the two clubs in membership of the league shall change; if this fails to determine the issue, the management committee shall rule. d) The Hon. Secretary or other responsible person of contesting teams shall before the match fill in on the card supplied by the referee the full First Name(s) and Surnames of his team plus those of the substitutes. e) The number of the players Jersey must correspond with the number his name appears beside on the referee's card. f) Only substitutes named on the official match card will be allowed to participate in matches. 13. Referees appointments, Reports, Fees etc. a) The Hon. Fixture Secretary of the League shall appoint referees to the various matches. b) In the event of the appointed official not attending the match and the clubs agreeing to one on the ground, such referee so appointed shall be considered a League official for the time being, provided he/she be a registered referee with the FAI. c) Any referee appointed to act in a League match must acquaint the Hon. Fixture Secretary of his inability to act at least two days prior to the date of the match. d) The results of each match must be sent by the referee together with the First name(s) and surname of each player so as to be in the hands of the Hon. Fixture Secretary within two days of the date on which the match was played. e) Complaints against the referee must be lodged with the Hon. Secretary of the MFA, and also the League Secretary, within four days of the game being played. f) The referee’s fee shall be subject to the MFA. Amateur referees to be paid actual travelling expenses.

14. Fitness of Grounds a) The referee shall decide as to the fitness of ground for play. 15. Protests a) Protests must be sent by registered letter by the protesting club to the Hon. Secretary of the league within four days (Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays excluded) of the date of the match and must be accompanied by a deposit of €50, payable by postal order or money order only (cash or cheques not accepted and will rule the protest out of order). b) An exact copy of the protest must be forwarded to the Hon. Secretary of the club protested against by registered letter. c) The deposit will be returned only in the event of the protest being upheld or not heard. d) No club may withdraw a protest without the permission of the management committee. e) A protest of an unfinished game must be lodged in accordance with the first portion of this rule, but must not be gone into until the game has been finished to the satisfaction of the management committee. f) The appellant must set out clearly the grounds on which the protest is being made. g) Clubs protesting must prove the protest. 16. Qualification of Player(s) a) In the case of protests, if the management committee has any doubt as to the qualifications of any player(s) taking part in any match concerned, they shall have the power to call upon such player(s), or the club to which they belong or for which he has played, to prove that he is qualified according to rule. b) Failing satisfactory proof, the management committee shall award the match to the protesting club. The management committee shall also deal with any offending player(s) if necessary. c) Any club playing ineligible player(s), proven on protest in any match (league competitions), shall in the event of winning or drawing such game, lose the points and such points shall be awarded to their opponents. d) When a member of the management committee reports a club for playing ineligible players and in the event of such report being proved correct, the points (in league competitions) may be deducted from the offending club and the points shall be dead unless a protest is awarded to their opponents. e) Clubs playing ineligible players will be fined at the discretion of the management committee for each offence. f) A club committee member shall have the power to secure on request from a representative of the opposing team, a photograph and/or the signature of any player(s) on the opposing team participating in the match. g) Failure to comply with such a request will render the club liable to disciplinary action by the management committee as they deem fit, which will result in the game being awarded to their opponents. 17. Late Starting of Games a) The management committee shall have the power to fine clubs for late starting of games, fines to be at the discretion of the management committee. 18. Admission to Games a) Members of the management committee shall be admitted to all matches under the jurisdiction of the League. Members of the FAI and MFA shall be admitted to all matches under the jurisdiction of the League on production of their card of membership. 19. Transfers a) No player shall be permitted to transfer from one club to another unless he has satisfied all financial claims of the club for which he last played.

b) Permission for transfers must be obtained from the League as well as from the club the applicant last played for. c) A transfer shall be deemed to have received the sanction of the management committee when it has been approved by the Hon. Registrar of this League on FAINet. d) If after seven (7) days the player asking for a transfer has not received it, the management committee shall have the power to grant same. e) In addition to the transfer being approved on FAINet, a player must also be registered on FAINet by the club he is signing for and this registration must be approved by the Hon. Registrar of the League before he can play for the club he is transferring to. f) No transfer shall be granted after January 31st in any season. g) Any player that transfers from a clubs A team having played five (5) or less games shall not be permitted to play with the clubs A team again for the remainder of the season. For clubs with more than two (2) teams, substitute B for A and C for B, etc. h) Players seeking transfer from National League clubs must be sought on an official National League transfer form and stamped by the league, have their registrations cancelled by their clubs with the secretary of the league concerned and produce evidence of this in writing to the management committee. i) A player may register with three (3) clubs but may only play with two (2) in any one season. 20. Representative Matches a) Each club shall be bound to place its players at the disposal of the league for representative and other matches arranged by the League. b) Any player selected to play and, without good and sufficient cause, failing to comply with the arrangements of the League may be judged by the league to be guilty of misconduct and shall be dealt with as the management committee think fit. c) The management committee may also deal with any club who has encouraged players in the breach of instructions or rules as they deem necessary. 21. Change of Hon. Secretaries a) Clubs changing their Hon. Secretaries or Hon. Secretaries changing their addresses are required to advise the Hon. Secretary of the League in writing. 22. Finance a) The finance committee shall meet at least once a month. b) All moneys received must be lodged in the bank to the account of the "The Cork Athletic Union Football League", lodgements to be made immediately so that no cash is to remain on hands except outside of banking hours. c) The Chairman, Hon. Treasurer and Hon. Secretary of the league, who shall sign all cheques, shall operate the account; two signatures at any time will be sufficient (if the matter is urgent). All payments to be made by cheque, except authorised petty cash expenditure in respect of postage and suchlike. d) The Hon. Treasurer shall submit an up-to-date balance at each Finance meeting when an up-to-date bank statement will be available for inspection if required. e) The accounts shall be brought to a close on the 31st March each year and a copy, duly audited, shall be submitted to each club for consideration at the AGM. f) Officers and members of the management committee shall be indemnified against all costs, charges, compensation and expenses incurred by them in or about the discharge of their league duties, except as accrued from their own respective wilful acts and defaults.

[6] CORK ATHLETIC UNION FOOTBALL LEAGUE - RULES

23. Properties a) The Chairman, Hon. Secretary and the Hon. Treasurer of the League, for the time being, shall for all intents and purposes be the legal holders of all properties in trust for the League. 24. Failing to complete Season a) Any club with more than one team in a grade, wishing to withdraw a team from the league during the season in point’s competition, must withdraw their lowest grade team. b) This team shall be automatically relegated and points for un-played matches will be credited to other clubs as they accrue. c) Any team, which does not complete its full programme of league fixtures, will, upon reapplying for membership for the next season, pay to the League a bond of €250. This bond will be returned on completion of the teams full league fixture programme for that season. d) Any team withdrawing from the league, or a team removed from the league by the management committee shall be automatically relegated and points for un-played matches will be credited to other clubs as they accrue. e) Any player who has assisted a club in the League, and which has resigned from membership of the League or has been suspended or otherwise removed, must receive permission from the management committee before they can register with another club. f) The players of any club that withdraw or have been removed from the League by the management committee after the 31st January cannot register with any other club, either in this League or any other League, for the remainder of the season. 25. Appeals a) Clubs, players and all others dissatisfied with the decisions of the management committee of this League shall have the right to appeal such decisions in the first instance to the MFA and such appeal must be lodged as per the rules of appeal of the Munster Football Association. 26. Furnishing copy of Rules a) Each club shall be furnished with a copy of these rules and shall be bound thereby. b) Price of rulebooks will be decided at the opening delegate meeting of each season. 27. Alteration of Rules a) No alteration of these rules shall be made except at the Annual General Meeting, 15th April being the closing date of receipt of any proposed alteration to rules, the same to be forwarded to each club in membership not later than seven days before the AGM. No change to be made unless by a two-thirds majority of those present and entitled to vote. b) Proposed alterations to rules must be sent by registered post to the Hon. Secretary of the League and must be proposed and seconded by the Hon. Secretaries of two clubs in membership of the League. 28. Infringement of Rules a) Any infringement of these rules shall be dealt with by the management committee in such a manner as they deem fit. 29. Disrepute a) Management committee members who bring the League or its members into disrepute may be removed, or suspended from the management committee and League. 30. Return of Trophies a) All trophies must be returned to the League by the 31st January each year at the latest or as requested by the management committee.

[7] CORK ATHLETIC UNION FOOTBALL LEAGUE - RULES

31. Substitutes a) A team may at its discretion use any five (5) from seven (7) named substitute players at any time during a match and during any period of extra time except to replace a player who has been suspended from the game by the referee. b) A player who has already been substituted cannot return to the game. c) When a player is to be substituted the following conditions shall be observed: 1. The referee shall be informed of the proposed substitution before it is made. 2. The substitute shall not enter the field of play until the player he is replacing has left, and then only after receiving permission from the referee. 3. The substitute shall enter the field of play during a stoppage in the game and at the half way line. 32. Naming of teams a) A club with more than one (1) team in any grade will be entitled to use the one team name, the only distinction being that they must nominate their teams A, B, C, etc. and this must be clearly stated on their Registration Forms. b) Any club entering a second team must have a minimum of 16 players registered with the A team. c) These players cannot play with a clubs B team unless they receive a transfer from the A team and they register as B players. d) The club must have at least 16 players registered with the A team at all times. e) Any player that is registered with a clubs B team can play a maximum of five (5) games with the club’s A team without losing his B status. When a B player has played more than five (5) games with the club’s A team he cannot play with the club’s B team again for the remainder of the season. No B team can include a player that has played more than five (5) games with the clubs A team. f) Clubs entering three (3) teams will be bound by the same rules. Substitute A with B; B with C etc. g) Any player that has played more than five (5) games with a clubs intermediate team shall not be eligible to play with the clubs junior team. h) Any player that transfers from a clubs A team having played five (5) or less games shall not be permitted to play with the clubs A team again for the remainder of the season. For clubs with more than two (2) teams, substitute B for A and C for B, etc. 33. Registered in Different Leagues a) No player can be registered in different leagues in the same grade at the one time. b) No player can play in different leagues in the same grade without being properly transferred. 34. Participation in non-affiliated Association Football Leagues a) Any player who participates in a non-affiliated association football league is not eligible to participate in any AUL competitions for the current season unless he gets written clearance from the AUL management committee. DISCIPLINARY RULES 1. Players sent off the field of play must attend the next disciplinary committee meeting; club secretary will be advised of dates. 2. All decisions of this committee shall have immediate effect on receipt of decision in the post and/or email by the club secretary/email contact. 3. Clubs and members have the right of appeal any decision in accordance with Rule 25. 4. All fines to be paid within seven (7) days. Failure to do so may result in further action being taken against the club. Players stand suspended until such time as fines are paid in full.

5. A player or member of a club shall not during the period of his suspension play or otherwise take part in any match or fixture under the jurisdiction of the League, hold any office in his club or act in any capacity under this League. JUNIOR LEAGUE RULES DIVISIONS a) The management committee shall decide the divisions of all League Competitions. The management committee shall have sole control as to the numbers of teams in each division and may vary the divisions as they deem fit. This will be announced before the start of each season. No club shall have two (2) teams in any one section of the League. b) In all divisions a system of promotion and relegation shall apply and will be decided by the management committee. This will be announced before the start of each season. c) Averages for the Championships shall be taken from wins and draws (and not from number of goals scored) to be counted as follows; three points for a win and one for a draw. d) In the event of two or more teams being equal on points after regulation games, the teams shall play off to decide the championship. The format for the play off to be decided by the management committee. e) For the purpose of runners-up in all divisions, where two or more teams finish equal on points, these teams shall play-off to decide who shall be runners-up. The format for the play off to be decided by the management committee. f) For the purpose of relegation in all divisions, where two or more teams finish equal on points, these teams shall play-off to decide who shall be relegated. The format for the play off to be decided by the management committee. g) Teams cannot play one game for six (6) points. h) When a club is adjudged to have given a walkover, their opponents will be credited with a 3-0 victory. i) Any club that fails to fulfil a fixture will be fined by the management committee with a minimum of €150 to apply. j) Any club that gives a walk-over will have three (3) points deducted in league competition. k) Any club that gives more than one (1) walk-over in any one season will be sanctioned by the management committee up to and including being removed from all competitions. DROPPING OUT a) In the event of any team dropping out, the management committee shall have power to re-adjust the teams to bring up the strength of any division. b) The same shall apply where there are a number of new entries. c) All such readjustments will be made at the start of the competitions. MISCONDUCT a) Any club proved guilty of inducing or attempting to induce a bona fide player(s) of another club to join them shall be deemed guilty of misconduct and shall be dealt with by the management committee as they deem fit. b) Clubs will be held responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their supporters and clubs are instructed and empowered to take the necessary steps for the expulsion from the football enclosures of any spectator using foul, abusive or threatening language and also to refuse admission to their grounds of any spectator known to be guilty of using foul or abusive or threatening language. c) Clubs failing to satisfy the committee that they have taken the necessary steps to have such delinquents dealt with shall be dealt with as the management committee may deem necessary up to and including being removed from the League.

d) The management committee shall have power to deal with any offending club(s) or player(s) as they think fit and to deal with any matter that is not provided for in these rules as far as these competitions are concerned. TRANSFERRING TO ANOTHER LEAGUE a) A team or club desiring to transfer to a different league at the end of a season must obtain a transfer on an official form (supplied by the Munster Football Association) and signed by the club, the League from which they are departing and the League they propose to enter. Such a request must be made on or before 1st May in any year. b) Clubs and teams shall not be unreasonably refused such a release and they shall have the statutory rights of appeal in the first instance to the MFA in accordance with the Rules of Appeal of the Munster Football Association. AOH JUNIOR CHALLENGE CUP RULES 1. The cup shall be called the AOH Junior Challenge Cup and shall be competed for under the jurisdiction of the management committee of the Cork Athletic Union Football League. 2. The competition shall be annual and shall be subject to the approval of the MFA and shall be open to all teams competing in the Cork Athletic Union Football League. a) All players must be registered on FAINet by their club and this registration must be approved on FAINet by the Hon. Registrar of the Cork Athletic Union Football League at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the match in question to be eligible to play in this competition. 3. A bona fide member of a club is one who is qualified to take part in the league. A player who has been suspended may play after the term of his suspension has expired. 4. The trophy shall be competed for annually by eleven players and any five (5) from seven (7) named substitutes of each competing team who are duly qualified according to the rules of the League and the Association. a) While the players in each team may be changed, no individual shall play for more than one team in this competition during any one season. Registration shall be the league registration of the players. 5. Any team found taking advantage of the foregoing rule, by including an ineligible player or players, shall be expelled from the competition. a) Where a protest has been made according to rule and the protest is deemed to be upheld, the tie will be awarded to the protesting club. 6. If the management committee has any doubt as to the qualification of any player taking part in the competition, it shall call upon the team to which he belongs or for which he has played, to prove to their satisfaction that he is properly qualified and failing such proof the management committee shall have the power to disqualify such player and, if necessary, remove such team from the competition, and/or impose a fine. 7. The names of clubs entered for that competition shall be placed in one lot or lots as the management committee may decide and shall be drawn and played in couples. a) The first club drawn in each couple to be considered the home team but the management committee may decide and shall have the right to decide the venue at which the tie is played. b) All teams, including Premier, Premier A and First Division, shall be included in the first round draw. 8. In the event of a team getting a bye the management committee at the subsequent drawing shall first draw a team to play against it from the lot. The two shall be put in the ballot box and again drawn and the team first out of the hat shall be considered the home team. 9. If during any match before the semi-final the management committee undertake to play any particular match in an enclosed pitch the nett gate receipts after all expenses have been met shall be divided as follows: one third to the funds of the league and two thirds to be divided equally between the participating teams.

10. The management committee shall arrange all the fixtures and appoint the referees. It shall also have the right to appoint the assistant referees in the semi-finals and final. 11. Emergency committee shall have the power to arrange or re-arrange any matches and to appoint referees and assistant referees in case of any emergency. 12. In the case of the appointed referee not attending the match and the two teams agreeing to one on the ground such referee shall be considered an official of the league for the time being provided he/she be a registered referee with the FAI. 13. Any team refusing to play or failing to play the team against which it has been drawn on the date fixed and without the sanction of the management committee for doing so shall be adjudged to have lost the match and otherwise dealt with as the management committee may determine. In the event of two teams agreeing to a postponement without the sanction of the management committee, the management committee shall have power to expel both teams from the competition. 14. The semi-finals of the competition will be played over two legs, home and away or as may be decided by the management committee. 15. The final tie of the competition will be played on a ground as decided by the management committee. 16. The management committee shall have the power to alter these rules but in no case should they do so until after the final tie in any year has been played. 17. Referees fees for all rounds, including semi-finals and finals, shall be those of the MFA and FAI. 18. All ties shall be decided at the first time of asking. If the teams are level after extra 90 minutes play then extra time of ten (10) minutes each way will be played. If the teams remain level after extra time the FIFA rule on penalties shall apply to determine the winner. This will apply in every round including the semi-finals and final. No match shall be decided on the toss of a coin. 19. If for any reason the home team cannot play the tie, it shall revert to their opponent’s ground. The home team will have one (1) chance to stage the tie before it reverts to their opponents ground. 20. The management committee of the league shall decide at the commencement of each season what teams shall participate in the various local cup competitions. ST. MICHAEL’S CUP 1. This Cup shall be called the St. Michael's Cup. It shall be competed for annually and be open to teams that the management committee decides are entitled to enter the competition. The rules of the competition shall be those of the AOH Cup with the exception of Rules 2, 7b, 14 and 15. 2. All ties will be decided at the first time of asking and will include extra time and penalties if needed. The FIFA penalties rule will apply in the event of teams being level after 10 minutes each way extra time has been played. This will apply in every round including the semi-finals and final. 3. If for any reason the home team cannot play the tie, it shall revert to their opponents ground. The home team will have one chance to stage the tie before it reverts to their opponent’s grounds. 4. A player that has played in the St. Michael’s Cup shall not be eligible to play in the Saxone Cup or the President’s Cup in the same season. SAXONE CUP 1. This Cup shall be called the Saxone Cup. It will be competed for annually and open to teams that the management committee decides are entitled to enter the competition. The Rules of the competition shall be those of the AOH Cup with the exception of Rules 2, 7b, 14 and 15. 2. Rules 2 and 3 of the St. Michael's Cup shall apply.

3. A player that has played in the Saxone Cup shall not be eligible to play in the St. Michael’s Cup or the President’s Cup in the same season. PRESIDENT’S CUP 1. This cup shall be called the Presidents Cup and will be competed for annually and open to teams that the management committee decides are entitled to enter the competition. The rules of the competition shall be those of the AOH Cup with the exceptions of Rules 2, 7b, 14 and 15. 2. Rules 2 and 3 of the St. Michael's Cup will apply. 3. A player that has played in the President’s Cup shall not be eligible to play in the St. Michael’s Cup or the Saxone Cup in the same season COUNTY CUP 1. This Cup shall be called the County Cup and shall be competed for annually and be open to teams in the County only (Premier and Premier A teams are excluded). The Rules of the competition shall be those of the AOH Cup with the exception of Rules 2, 7b, 14 and 15. 2. Rules 2 and 3 of the St. Michael's Cup shall apply. CITY CHALLENGE CUP 1. This Cup shall be called the City Challenge Cup and shall be competed for annually and open to all City teams (Premier and Premier A teams are excluded). The Rules of the competition shall be those of the AOH Cup with the exception of Rules 2, 7b, 14 and 15. 2. Rules 2 and 3 of the St. Michael's Cup shall apply. CORINTHIANS CUP 1. This cup will be known as the Corinthians Cup and will be competed for annually and be open to teams that the management committee decides are entitled to enter the competition. 2. The rules of the competition shall be those of the AOH Cup with the exception of Rules 2, 7b, 14 and 15. 3. Entry to the competition will be for first round losing teams in the St. Michael’s Cup, Saxone Cup and President’s Cup 4. Teams that receive a bye in the first round and lose in the second round of the above competitions will also be included in the competition. 5. Rules 2 and 3 of the St. Michael’s Cup shall apply. MOSSIE LINNANE LEAGUE CUP 1. This cup shall be called the Mossie Linnane League Cup and shall be competed for annually and be open to all teams in the Premier and Premier A divisions of our league. 2. All ties after the group stages will be decided at the first time of asking and will include 10 minutes each way extra time and penalties if needed up to and including the final. 3. If two (or more) teams finish level after the group stage of the competition, the group winners will be decided using the following criteria: (a) Result of game between the teams. (b) Goal difference between the teams. (c) Teams with most goals scored (d) Toss up between teams if they cannot be separated on above criteria. GOLDEN BOOT 1. This competition shall be known as the Golden Boot competition and shall be open to all players in the Premier Division and Premier A Division of our league. 2. The winner of the competition shall be the person(s) that scores the most goals in League competition during the season. 3. Only goals scored in regulation league games will be counted. 4. Goals scored in playoff games to decide championship, promotion or relegation issues will not count in this competition.

5. Goals scored in abandoned games (even if the game is awarded at a later date) are not counted.

Note: In the event of a dispute between the rules contained in this booklet and the rules of the Football Association of Ireland, the rules of the Football Association of Ireland shall prevail.
