VARIATIONS ON THE DEATH OF TROTSKY was first produced at the Manhattan Punch Line Theatre in New York City, in January 1991, Steve Kaplan, Artistic Director. THE PHILIDELPHIA was first produced at the 1992 New Hope Performing Arts Festical, presented by The New Hope Arts Commission, New Hope, Pennsylva- nia, Robin Larsen, Executive Director. was first produced by Primary Stages Company in New York City, in November 1993, Casey Childs, Artistic Director.

Sure Thing Directed by Natosha Guldan ‘23 - Vocal Perfomance major; Dance & Musical Theatre minors Lauren Fredrich ‘21 - Management & Theatre majors; Musical Theatre minor Stage Manager Lauren couldn’t be more excited to be apart of the “All in the Timing” One-Acts as a stage manager. This is her first time being in a stage managerial role and it’s been an eye-opening experience. She would like to thank her cast and the director for this amazing experience. David Steele ‘21 - Visual Communication major Bill David went to high school in Vinton, Iowa, where his favorite memory was playing Gomez in The Addams Family musical. He transferred to Luther from Iowa State University last summer after realizing he absolutely did not want to be an architect. He’d like to thank all the new friends he’s made over the past months for making campus feel like home. Katelyn Leiran ‘22 - Neuroscience major; Musical Theatre minor Betty Katelyn was greatly involved in music and theatre in high school, and participated in SPIN’s musical theatre cabaret last fall and the 1440 musical production of “Beauty and the Beast” last year at Luther. She is also involved in Cathedral Choir, Gospel Choir, and Health Science Club on campus. Katelyn would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her in all her activities. The Philadelphia Directed by Phil Royer Ashley Schultz ‘22 - Religion & History majors; Art History minor Stage Manager Ashley loves being a part of Luther’s One Act Festival! She has also stage managed last semester’s “Lunatics,” as well as Spring 2019’s “Appropriate.” She hopes you enjoy! Aaron Bronk ‘23 - Political Science major Al Aaron Bronk started theater working as a lighting designer at his high school performing arts center. He began acting his final year of high school and was in three separate productions. His first acting production in college is “The Philadelphia.” Ian Wreisner ‘22 - English Education major Mark Ian spent plenty of time onstage in high school, but until now has enjoyed his time helping backstage at Luther. He is very excited for his first onstage role here in Jewel Theater. Irelyn Baumberger ‘23 - Music & Business majors Waitress Irelyn was apart of plays and musicals in high school and is ecstatic for her first play at Luther. When not on stage, she spends her time on the soccer field and performing in a couple different vocal groups on campus. Irelyn would like to thank her past and current directors as well as her colleagues and parents for all of the amazing experiences! He is involved in choir, jazz band, Focus, and intramurals here at Luther. He would like to thank all of the amazing talented theatre professors, staff, students, and parents for making Luther Theatre the increduble thing it is. Matthew Raihala ‘21 - Theatre major Milton Cleo Garza ‘21 - Theatre major Kafka This is the first acting experience at Luther College for Cleo. On campus she is apart of PAC and SPIN Theatre. Cleo would like to thank her friends for hyping her up to finally be on stage and YouTube for teaching her how to move like a monkey. Variations of the Death of Trotsky Directed by Grace Whiting ‘23 - Theatre & Management majors Mimi Webb Stage Manager Bailey Fields ‘20 - Theatre major; Musical Theatre minor Mrs. Trotsky Bailey Fields has appeared on stage here at Luther in several productions, including “Twelfth Night” and “The Private Lives of the Master Race.” Bailey is also a member of Collegiate Chorale. In her final semester here at Luther, Bailey is excited to share her last performance with the VPA with all of you, and hopes you enjoy the show! Gibson Swalley ‘22 - Music major Leon Trotsky Gibson is a 4 time Tony Award Viewer. His favorite activities include arhythmic banging of sticks and rocks, coin collecting, and solitaire. Gibson would like to thank SPIN Theatre for allowing him to be as much of a know-it-all on stage as he is in life. Sam Sunderland ‘23 - Elementary Education & Theatre majors; Music minor Ramon Sam is a first year and is thrilled to be in yet another SPIN production, he was previously seen as Judah in SPINs 1440 show. He would like to thank his family, friends, and cast for being so supportive and amazing to work with.

Her biggest role in the theatre department is as SPIN Theatre’s costume coordinator. This year she has designed SPIN’s Musical Theatre Cabaret, SPIN’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and now All in the Timing! Rhylan would like to thank his parents and peers for encouraging his strong passion for theatre. Katie Gorton ’22 - English Education major Young Woman Dimorphodons, an early form of pterodactyls, crawled along the ground because the wing membrane connecting their tails to their legs prevented them from walking. Also, J. R. R. Tolkien started writing elvish while in the trenches during World War I and used it as a way to cope with his PTSD. With a Twilight Zone twist, this production shows the mysteries behind everyday abnormalities. While we attempt to grapple with everything around us, it is impossible to know it all.
