She is currently the show chair for the San Francisco Orchid Society's summer show, "Orchids in the Park".

Angelic has also been giving orchid presentations and skill sessions for orchid and garden societies, using her experience and large selection of her photographs. Refreshments

Last names starting with J through Q please bring refreshments.

President's Message Time for the penultimate meeting before our SCOS Orchid Auction in October. Our orchid auction is the most important event of the year for SCOS. The auction provides the funding for our monthly orchid meetings which includes paying the monthly rent for the facility of $270 per month, the speaker and tables that average $300 per month. For this reason we need all members to participate in the auction event in what ever way you can. Ways you can participate to make the auction a success 1) come to auction and bid on the plants 2) provide auction items 3) invite your family , friends and neighbors to the auction 4) take some orchid auction flyers at the next meeting and distribute wherever you think they might draw people to the auction 5) volunteer to help at the auction. Talk or call Mong if you would like to help on auction night, and see Janell for auction flyers. At our August meeting Tim Culbertson gave an excellent presentation on orchid flasking and deflasking. The bonus for those that attended was that Tim provided seedlings from two flasks for members to pot up which they took home for their collection. A big thanks to Tim.

I will not be at the September meeting but I will be at October auction. See you then.
