Upon graduation, Alyssa was honored as being selected an instructor with the Universal Dance Association and traveled the United States teaching summer dance camps for 2 years. In 2013, Alyssa graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering and is currently working for Apache Corporation as a Petroleum Engineer in Houston, TX. Alyssa’s favorite Union memory is representing Union High School at the National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, FL four years in a row, finishing with top 10 wins every year. Derrek Lewis Basketball 2007 Graduate A four-year letterman in basketball, Derrek led his basketball team in steals, points, 3 point and free throw percentage and was named Best Offensive Player his senior year. An all-conference, all-district and all- state selection, Derrek furthered his basketball career at Texas A & M University where his team competed in 4 straight appearances. Derrek is currently employed at LDF companies where he is in advanced sales. Derrek’s most memorable sports moment at Union was being with his teammates. Derrek says he is able to receive this award because of what they were able to accomplish as a team and he is blessed to call them his friends.
