�वषय/Subject: COVID 19: Temporary Closure of Institute till May 17, 2020
Ref: i) Office Order IISERBPR/RO/OO/15 dated April 14, 2020. ii) Govt. of India Order No.40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated May 01, 2020 regarding extension of lock down till May 17, 2020
In continuation to Institute office order under ref. (i) and consequent to the issuance of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India Order under ref. (ii) regarding extension of lockdown in the country, the Institute will remain temporarily closed till May 17, 2020 or till further orders.
All other standing instructions communicated vide Office Order dated March 22, 2020 shall remain the same. All staff should remain in contact with their reporting in-charge to attend urgent official work.
In view of the 02 reported positive cases of COVID 19 in the district of Ganjam, it is hereby advised to all IISER Berhampur fraternity to take utmost care while maintaining proper social distancing and precautions i.e. using masks, hand hygiene etc. and all other guidelines as per the instructions/advisory issued by Govt of India/ State Govt/ local administration from time to time.
Further, District administration has identified the hostel of Govt ITI Berhampur as a quarantine centre for the people returning from other states. As our Institute is in close proximity to ITI hostel, it is advised for the personnel entering the Institute building for work to take every precaution possible to refrain from coming in contact with the people of the quarantine centre.
