1. I will be coming to Rourkela from outside Odisha, what should I do? After your arrival at Rourkela, you are required to report at the Covid-19 help desk in the Biju Patnaik University of Technology campus (Address: Annexure 1). After mandatory health check-up, if you are found to be symptomatic for COVID-19, the swab test will be conducted and you will be required to stay in government quarantine (paid/non-paid as per your preference) till the results are ready. If you are without symptoms, you will be allowed to stay in home quarantine for 14 days depending upon the availability of a separate bedroom and separate bathroom in your house. If such facilities are not available at your home, you will be required to stay in government quarantine (paid/non-paid as per your preference). The list of paid quarantine centres is attached at the end (Annexure 2). It must be noted that home quarantine shall be allowed only in urban area i.e. areas falling under Rourkela Municipal Corporation and Industrial Township. There is no provision for home quarantine in rural areas. 2. I will be coming to Rourkela from any of the 14 listed districts of Odisha i.e. Khordha, Bhadrak, Balangir, Puri, Jharsuguda, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Baleshwar, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kendujhar, Gajapati and Jagatsinghpur, what should I do? After your arrival at Rourkela, you are required to report at the Covid-19 help desk in the Biju Patnaik University of Technology campus (Address: Annexure 1). It is not mandatory for you to register yourself at COVID-19 helpdesk. However, it is advisable that you maintain 14 days quarantine for the safety of your family and Rourkela city. If you develop any of the symptoms of COVID-19, please visit COVID- 19 helpdesk at BPUT immediately. 4. I have stayed outside Odisha or in the 14 districts mentioned above for less than 72 hours before coming to Rourkela, what should I do? Spending less than 72 hours will not grant any exemption from quarantine and you are required to follow the mandatory quarantine procedures as mentioned in Ans 1 & 2. 5. I am coming from outside and staying in Rourkela for less than 72 hours, what should I do? If you are staying in Rourkela for less than 72 hours, then you need not register at COVID-19 helpdesk.However, you are not allowed to meet anyone or move around Rourkela during your stay. You will maintain self-quarantine in hotel/lodge/guest house/own home. Your hotel/guest house management will have to follow mandatory declaration protocol. In case any deviation is reported/ observed then mandatory quarantine will be implemented and action shall be initiated. 6. What is Temporary Health Camp or TMC? In what condition I will be required to stay there? TMC is a temporary residence provided by government for people travelling inside the districts from outside. Those who are travelling to rural areas are mandatorily required to stay in TMCs for at least 14 days. Those coming to urban areas might stay in home quarantine provided that separate bedroom and separate bathroom is available for them. 7. What precautions should I take while maintaining home quarantine? Home quarantine does not mean not stepping out of four walls of your house. It essentially means that you confine yourself to one bedroom and must not have any physical contact (direct or indirect) with any of the family members. You must use a separate bathroom. If you develop any symptoms during this time, immediately report at Covid-19 help desk BPUT or Covid-19 hospital Rourkela. 8. If my test result comes negative, will I be discharged from quarantine? If your test result is negative, you may be discharged from government quarantine (paid/non-paid) depending upon the availability of home quarantine facilities. If Page 2 | 5 discharged, it is mandatory to maintain 14 days strict home quarantine (separate bedroom and bathroom) thereafter. 9. If my Covid-19 report comes positive, where will I be admitted? If your result is positive, you may be admitted to Rourkela Covid-19 hospital if you display symptoms or if medical authorities advise so. Asymptomatic patients can stay at Covid Care Centre (CCC) in the BPUT campus. In Urban areas, asymptomatic cases can be kept in strict home isolation if such facilities (separate bedroom and bathroom) are available at your home. This decision shall be taken by the administration 10. If I am Covid-19 positive admitted to Covid-19 Hospital, when will I be discharged? If you do not have any serious symptoms, medical authorities can take the decision to discharge you from the hospital after 10 complete days. However, you will be kept isolated at CCC or your home (depending upon the facilities) for at least 14 days. 11. How will I know my test result? If your test result is negative, you will get a text message informing you of the same on the number provided by you. If your result is positive, you will be contacted by the local authorities. 12. I have Covid-19 symptoms, what should I do? It is advisable to consult your doctor over telephone and report to COVID-19 Helpdesk at BPUT if your doctor so advises. You can also report at the dedicated COVID-19 counter at Rourkela Government Hospital. You are directed not to visit private hospitals if you have COVID-19 symptoms. Private Hospitals are directed to refer all the suspected/probable cases to Rourkela Covid-19 Hospital without any delay. It should be ensured that hospital staff does not come in contact with symptomatic patients. 13. I have come in contact of COVID-19 positive patient, what should I do? If you have not been contacted by the administration already, report to COVID-19 Helpdesk at BPUT immediately. 14. I have knowledge of someone who has come from outside and not following mandatory quarantine norms, what should be my course of action? You should immediately report such cases by calling RMC Tollfree Helpline number 18003456103 or sending a text message to +91-7008534384 (Text Message only). Misinformation provided by you will be strictly acted upon. Please verify before reporting. Page 3 | 5 15. I want to get myself tested for COVID-19, where should I go? You are directed to contact your doctor over phone and do as advised or report to dedicated COVID-19 counter at Rourkela Government Hospital. Whether the testing will be conducted shall be decided by the medical authorities.
