The special event is designed to commemorate the 30th anni- versary of the tournament and will be held on Monday, January 29 at 12:30 p.m. Throughout her career, Huber claimed seven Grand Slam doubles titles (five doubles, two mixed doubles) and reached the world No. 1 ranking in November 2007 with her partner Cara Black. Hu- ber claimed a total of 53 doubles titles on the WTA tour and won the year-ending ‘WTA Finals’ three times. Huber also took home the 1999 doubles title in Midland. Borus, a tennis icon in Midland, is known for being the first opponent of Serena Williams in Williams’ professional career. Miller defeated Williams 6-1, 6-1 at the Bell Challenge in 1995. Throughout her career Miller reached a ranking of No. 40 in the world and also progressed to the third round of the US Open. The event will pair Huber with rising Midland junior Ellie Coleman. Coleman recently won a USTA Na- tional Selection Level 2 tournament in Delray Beach, Florida in the 16-and-under singles division and shortly after she reached the finals of the prestigious Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Cham- pionship. The 14-year old was also invited to compete in the USTA Player Development playoff-style camp this past summer, where she placed third. Borus will pair with her niece, Karina Miller, another rising junior based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Miller claimed the Division 1 No. 1 singles title for the Ann Arbor Pioneers in June 2017. The exhibition event is expected to run one and half hours and will feature best two out of three sets with no-ad scoring and a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. This event is free and open to the public. Beforehand, both Huber and Miller will also be in attendance at the tournaments annual ‘Player Press Conference’ scheduled for 11 a.m. 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the Dow Tennis Classic.
