In fact some scholars consider these words applicable only to first century Jews who changed their minds about Christ. While it can be admitted that they were the primary audience for this message, like all of the Word of God, it has application in every age. The eternal sin was not limited to the first century of Christendom. Let’s simplify the presentation for the sake of clarity by asking three questions concerning the unpardonable sin. I. Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.
