Thursday’s first round is slated to begin at 7 pm CT/5 pm PT, while Friday’s second day featuring the second and third rounds stars at 6 pm ET/4 pm PT. Rounds four through seven get underway Saturday at 11 am CT/9 am PT. The 2018 NFL Draft will be televised live by NFL Network, FOX and ESPN. Visit NFL.com/network/draft for additional information on coverage of the draft. Defensive end James Looney had a strong showing at the 2018 NFL Combine in March as the lone defensive lineman at the event to rank in the top 10 among the 40 participants in his position group in each of the six measurable skills tests he competed in at Lucas Oil Stadium. Looney also participated in Cal’s Pro Day last month along with fellow draft-eligible players who completed their collegiate eligibility at Cal in 2017 including cornerback Darius Allensworth, safety Jacob Anderson, placekicker Matt Anderson, linebacker Raymond Davison III, linebacker Devante Downs, running back Vic Enwere, cornerback Marloshawn Franklin Jr. and wide receiver Jordan Veasy. Extensive coverage of all former Cal football players selected in the 2018 NFL Draft and players that sign undrafted free agent contracts following the draft will be provided via the Cal Athletics social media outlets listed below and online at CalBears.com. Cal had at least one player selected in the NFL Draft for 28 consecutive years (1987-2014), one in the top three rounds for eight (2007-14) and two in the first four rounds for five (2010-14) before those streaks were all snapped when no Cal player was taken in the 2015 NFL Draft. • Cal’s six quarterbacks taken in the first round of the NFL Draft is tied for the third-most by any college football program behind only Notre Dame (9) and USC (8) while equaling Stanford (6). Cal’s list includes Craig Morton (1965 – No. 6, Dallas Cowboys), Bartkowski, Rich Campbell (1981 – No. 6, Green Bay Packers), Kyle Boller (2003 – No. 19, Baltimore Ravens), Aaron Rodgers (2005 – No. 24, Green Bay Packers) and Goff. • Prior to Jared Goff’s 2016 selection the most recent first-round NFL Draft pick from Cal was defensive end Cameron Jordan when he was taken in the first round with No. 24 overall selection by the New Orleans Saints. • Goff and Jordan are among five first-round NFL Draft picks from Cal currently active in the league with the others Aaron Rodgers (2005 – No. 24, Green Bay Packers), Alex Mack (2009 – No. 21, Cleveland Browns) and Tyson Alualu (2010 – No. 10, Jacksonville Jaguars). Mack (Atlanta Falcons) and Alualu (Pittsburgh Steelers) are currently on teams that they were not drafted by. • Cal had three players selected in the most recent NFL Draft in 2017 in quarterback Davis Webb (New York Giants, third round, No. 87 overall), wide receiver Chad Hansen (New York Jets, fourth round, No. 141 overall) and running back Khalfani Muhammad (Tennessee Titans, seventh round, No. 241 overall). • The most Cal players selected in a single NFL Draft were the 10 chosen in 1952, while Cal's six players picked in the 1977, 2008 and 2012 drafts are tied for the second-most in school history. Prior to his time with ACC Network/ESPN, Richt served as head football coach at the University of Miami and the University of Georgia. Richt was named the University of Miami’s 24th head football coach on Dec. 4, 2015. His hiring provided immediate dividends as the Hurricanes posted a 9-4 record in his first season in Coral Gables. Miami then defeated West Virginia, 31-14, in the Russell Athletic Bowl for the program’s first bowl victory in 10 years. The Hurricanes were ranked No. 20 in the final Associated Press poll and No. 23 in the final Amway Coaches Poll – the program’s first season-ending rankings since 2009. Miami had 10 players earned ACSMA All-ACC honors in 2016, while quarterback Brad Kaaya became Miami’s all-time passing yards leader. Freshman wide receiver Ahmmon Richards broke the 31-year-old freshman receiving record at Miami originally set by Michael Irvin, while sophomore running back Mark Walton became the 11th 1,000-yard rusher in program history. Six Hurricanes were selected in the 2018 NFL Draft. Nine Hurricanes were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, the most for Miami since 2006, including first-round pick David Njoku to the Cleveland Browns. Richt has had 99 of his players drafted as a head coach, including 14 first-round picks. Richt, born in Omaha, Neb., and raised in Boca Raton, Fla., returned to his alma mater after leading the University of Georgia football program for 15 years.

  • 2020 Buffalo Fanatics Draft Prospectus
2020 Buffalo Fanatics Draft Prospectus Director of College Scouting Steve Mathes _ @JudgeMathes Positional Outlook Quarterback Buffalo is not going to look to rock the boat by bringing in a legitimate threat to Josh Allen’s job, they believe in him as the franchise QB. Players Met With or “Linked-To” Likewise, they don’t appear to be looking to challenge Matt Barkley as a James Morgan - Florida International back-up either. He has a great relationship with Allen, isn’t threatening his job, and brings traits Allen doesn’t have like anticipatory throwing they hope will rub off on him. That leaves Davis Webb, the practice squad QB, as the only one at real risk of competition. The Bills met with Morgan, but this was before his stock significantly heated up. If the Bills decide to challenge Webb look for a UDFA QB to be the guy to do it. Running Back The Buffalo Bills have only two viable runners on their roster currently in Devin Singletary and TJ Yeldon. They will look to add a third to this tandem to replace Players Met With or “Linked-To” the departed Frank Gore. Cam Akers - Florida St. Gore was known as the “bruiser”. When he was on the field defenses tended to JK Dobbins - Ohio St. know what was coming. It appears from their list of potential targets the Bills Clyde Edwards-Hellaire - LSU are looking to buck that trend. Darrynton Evans - Appalachian St. Zack Moss - Utah On their list are mostly “All-Purpose Backs” and one guy who is all traits (SPEED) D’Andre Swift - Georgia in Darrynton Evans.

  • NFL Draft 2020 Scouting Report: WR Bryan Edwards, South Carolina
2020 NFL DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT MARCH 27, 2020 NFL Draft 2020 Scouting Report: WR Bryan Edwards, South Carolina *WR grades can and will change as more information comes in from Pro Day workouts, Wonderlic test results leaked, etc. We will update ratings as new info becomes available. *WR-B stands for "Big-WR," a classification we use to separate the more physical, downfield/over-the- top, heavy-red-zone-threat-type WRs. Our WR-S/"Small-WRs" are profiled by our computer more as slot and/or possession-type WRs who are typically less physical and rely more on speed/agility to operate underneath the defense and/or use big speed to get open deep...they are not used as weapons in the red zone as much. If we look back in five years and the football community ascertains that Bryan Edwards was the best WR prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft class…I would not be surprised. I WOULD be surprised if it were Jeudy- Jefferson-Higgins-Ruggs-Lamb, but not if it were Bryan Edwards. On the other hand, as a scout, I cannot pound my fist on the desk and tell you he is one of the best with full confidence because Edwards was unable to participate in the NFL Combine due to a broken foot suffered in Combine training in late February. My eyes say that he looks the part, but my eyes can deceive…I’d feel better with ‘facts’, his speed and agility times, etc., but I don’t believe we’ll get them with the COVID-19 issue cancelling Pro Days and pre-Draft workouts.
