Since the government cuts in 2010 we have adapted our services to continue to ensure it is sustainable for the longer term future, we have had to make a charge to Primary Schools for some HSSP school sport services. Approx. £500 per Primary School per academic year for a baseline package consisting of: P.E. CPD, Young Leaders training or after-school Sports Clubs and Festivals. A large amount of our work was geared towards the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics (school torch relays/Paralympic sporting star school visits/Olympic stadium/event visits for school pupils/World School sports days and other Olympic educational cross curricular projects).

Co-ordinators and Teaching Assistants) were trained in the C4L programme and activity clubs for physically inactive year 3 and 4 pupils. Approximately 112 pupils attended these clubs in the summer of 2012. A total of 123 Secondary School Teams within the HSSP area entered all of the Medway SSG – Other after-school/community sports clubs for young people Secondary School Games events in 2011-2012. A weekly term time only community Basketball club was held at the Howard School on a Thursday evening with approximately 12-24 participants weekly. A total of 195 Primary Teams within the HSSP area entered the full range of Primary School Festivals A weekly Badminton club for primary school aged children took place on a Tuesday after-school slot during term time only including the Mini Youth Games. at the Castlemaine Avenue Hall with approx. 10 plus participants weekly. A weekly Disability Sport club operated with a range of different sports at the Twydall Primary School on Wednesday 14 Primary Schools for the HSSP went on to represent evenings with 6-12 disabled young people involved.
