Sci., MANU, XXVII–XXVIII, 1–2 (2006–2007), pp. 93–115 ISSN 0351–3246 UDC: ?550.348.436.098.3(497.71) EMPIRICAL RELATIONS OF SEISMIC MOMENT AND EARTHQUAKE MOMENT MAGNITUDE TO EARTHQUAKE LOCAL MAGNITUDE FOR THE VARDAR AND WEST MACEDONIA SEISMIC ZONES Vera Čejkovska A b s t r a c t: Seismic moments (M0) of 79 earthquakes which ed in the Vardar and West Macedonia seismic zones on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia and neighbouring regions within the period 1992–2002 were obtained by inversion of the amplitu- de spectra of the vertical components of the short-period shear Sg and Lg surface waves, digitally recorded on the electromagnetic short-period SS-1 and wide-range WR-1 Kinemetrics seismome- ters at the stations in Skopje (SKO), Ohrid (OHR), Valandovo (VAY), Bitola (BIA) and Kriva Palanka (KPJ). The inversion was done on the Brune dislocation source model and a proper model of the medium. The data used included earthquake local magnitu- des (ML) between 1.5 and 5.2, for the Vardar seismic zone, and between 1.4 and 5.2, for the West Macedonia seismic zone. Mo- ment magnitudes (MW) of the earthquakes were calculated using the Kanamori formula. Empirical M0 – ML and MW – ML relations were obtained, the first of the kind for seismic zones in the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. The results also appointed to a differentiation between classes of small and middle-sized earthquakes at ML = 5.2 and to a change in the scaling law of the small 13 14 earthquakes at ML ≈ 3.0 – 3.5 or M0 ≈ 6·10 – 1.5·10 N·m. -

College Dhaliara District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India Abstract This study was aimed to perform in vitro mycorrhizal synthesis between Abies pindrow and Lactarius sanguifluus was achieved. A. pindrow seedlings inoculated with mycelial culture of L. sanguifluus resulted in the formation of short, branched lateral roots which ultimately form ectotrophic mycorrhizae. Synthesized mycorrhizae were light brown to pale yellow in colour. The transverse sections of the synthesized roots showed a typical ectomycorrhizal anatomy. The anatomical structure of mycorrhiza revealed the presence of thick fungal mantle and well developed “Hartig net”. Pure culture of L. sanguifluus was reisolated from both vermiculite peat moss mixture and synthesized ectomycorrhizae. These were compared with the original culture isolated from the fruiting bodies of L. sanguifluus and were found to have same cultural characteristics, thus confirming the symbiotic association. The Annual Report of the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission for 2018 contains detailed information on the performance of the competences according to the Energy Law and the Law on Setting Prices of Water Services, as well as information on the material-financial operation. The Energy Law also determines that the Annual Report of the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission needs to be submitted to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry competent for the performance of the assignments within the energy area, so that they could be informed, as well as to the Energy Community Secretariat. The Report contains overview of the activities performed by the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission during 2018, with special review of: − State of the energy markets, − State of the prices and tariffs regulation, − Preparing regulatory acts, − International activities and − Financial Statement of the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission. -

Därefter Elias Fries – ein produktiver Wissenschaftler följde inte mindre än 64 aktiva år som mykolog, botanist, filosof, lärare, riksdagsman och akademiledamot. Han var oerhört produktiv och författade inte bara stora och betydande böcker i mykologi och botanik utan också hundratals mindre artiklar och uppsatser. ABSTRACT The article deals with research of popularity of polypores species (Polyporaceae sensu lato), which are parasitic upon living English oaks Quercus robur L. in coppice oakeries of the South-Western Central Russian Upland in the context of their eco-biological peculiarities. It was demonstrated that the most popular species are those for which an oak is a principal host, not an accidental one. These species also have effective parasitic properties and are able to spread in forest stands, from tree to tree. Keywords: polypores, Quercus robur L., coppice forest stand, obligate parasite, facultative saprotroph, facultative parasite, popularity. *Corresponding author September - October 2014 RJPBCS 5(5) Page No. 1691 ISSN: 0975-8585 INTRODUCTION Polypores Polyporaceae s. l. is a group of basidium fungi which is traditionnaly discriminated on the basis of formal resemblance, including species of wood destroyers, having sessile (or rarer extended) fruit bodies and tube (or labyrinth-like or gill-bearing) hymenophore. Many of them are parasites housing on living trees of forest-making species, or pathogens – agents of root, butt or trunk rot. Rot’s development can lead to attenuation, drying, wind breakage or windfall of stressed trees. On living trees Quercus robur L., which is the main forest-making species of autochthonous forest steppe oakeries in Eastern Europe, in conditions of Central Russian Upland, we can find nearly 10 species of polypores [1-3], belonging to orders Agaricales, Hymenochaetales, Polyporales (class Agaricomicetes, division Basidiomycota [4]). -

We report 80 literature articles which include 14 new taxa described from Texas. We also report on 120 new records of fleshy basdiomycetous fungi collected primarily from southeast Texas. RESUMEN Este es un segundo artículo que documenta el registro de nuevas especies de hongos carnosos basidiomicetos, incluyendo artículos antiguos y recientes. Reportamos 80 artículos científicamente relacionados con estas especies que incluyen 14 taxones con holotipos en Texas. Así mismo, reportamos unos 120 nuevos registros de hongos carnosos basidiomicetos recolectados primordialmente en al sureste de Texas. PART I—MYCOLOGICAL LITERATURE ON TEXAS FLESHY BASIDIOMYCOTA Lewis and Ovrebo (2009) previously reported on literature for Texas fleshy Basidiomycota and also listed new vouchered records for Texas of that group. Presented here is an update to the listing which includes literature published since 2009 and also includes older references that we previously had not uncovered. The authors’ primary research interests center around gilled mushrooms and boletes so perhaps the list that follows is most complete for the fungi of these groups. We have, however, attempted to locate references for all fleshy basidio- mycetous fungi. -
A Re-Evaluation of Neotropical Junghuhnia S.Lat. (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) Based on Morphological and Multigene Analyses

Gugliotta1 Key words Abstract Junghuhnia is a genus of polypores traditionally characterised by a dimitic hyphal system with clamped generative hyphae and presence of encrusted skeletocystidia. However, recent molecular studies revealed that Mycodiversity Junghuhnia is polyphyletic and most of the species cluster with Steccherinum, a morphologically similar genus phylogeny separated only by a hydnoid hymenophore. In the Neotropics, very little is known about the evolutionary relation- Steccherinaceae ships of Junghuhnia s.lat. taxa and very few species have been included in molecular studies. In order to test the taxonomy proper phylogenetic placement of Neotropical species of this group, morphological and molecular analyses were carried out. Specimens were collected in Brazil and used for DNA sequence analyses of the internal transcribed spacer and the large subunit of the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene, the translation elongation factor 1-α gene, and the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II gene. Herbarium collections, including type specimens, were studied for morphological comparison and to confirm the identity of collections. The molecular data obtained revealed that the studied species are placed in three different genera. Specimens of Junghuhnia carneola represent two distinct species that group in a lineage within the phlebioid clade, separated from Junghuhnia and Steccherinum, which belong to the residual polyporoid clade. -

The sample was identified based on both conventional methods and ITS rDNA region-based molecular phylogeny. By taking into account the high sequence similarity between the sample (ANK Akata & Altuntaş 690) and Battarrea phalloides the relevant specimen was considered to be B. Phalloides and the morphological data also strengthen this finding. In this study, photos of macro and microscopic structures, a short description, scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of spores and elaters, and the ITS rDNA region-based molecular phylogeny of the samples were given. Also, the distribution of B. phalloides specimens identified thus far from Turkey was revealed for the first time in this study. -
